Yeah I snagged this one today ( one model up if that matters 40$), and got the vape parts on the way I will let everyone know how it works I am very excited about this...

if it's not ceramic core and you use it to force air thru a valve it has a high chance of burning up your heating element. there was a reason i clearly stated "Ceramic core". if it doesn't say "Ceramic Core' then it most likely isn't.

Yes, I called the manufacturer and asked and they said it was a ceramic heating element, this is what we are looking for right? If not I can still return it because I have not used it yet

i'm hoping it will be fine. it was black and decker if i remember correctly.

someone PMed me the other day. they had a heat gun next to them. they rigged up a valve and bag. as soon as he put the gun to the valve the element burnt up. he said something about back pressure. i'd just hate to see this happen to anyone else. Makita is the only one i have personally tried so it's the only one i can endorse. :blsmoke::peace:

ok got all my pieces and I will be experimenting tonight with the black and decker model and the volcano pieces I will give an update on how it works, I wanted to thank fdd for the helpful insights

Good news, I vaped for the first time last night and I would say I like it... I like it alot, the black and decker has worked fine so far, but over the next few months I will put it thru a full battery of testing, checking, retesting, and then some more testing, thanks again fdd for the idea I feel like I have a working volcano for 160 dollars, not to bad

DUDE I just saw this I'm going to have to go to Lowe's and buy oneof those Makitas ...I have another brand someplace but it's a POS... Good thread FDD!!
