Whats up RIU people!
So this is going to be my second journal on here. I've been growing for almost two years and the whole time growing white widow. I've gotten better at it over time and have had some sweet bud to smoke. But this journal, I'm going to change it up and grow BLZ Bud and follow it up with OG Kush -Ghost Cut.
My setup has been the same and it's a DWC setup. I use 30 L plastic containers with holes in the lids for 6 inch pots. I filled them with a nutrient solution with a 20 gallon aquarium pump attached to air stones that bubble air into the solution. The nutes used are the Pure Blend Pro line. Pro Grow for Veg and Pro Bloom for flowering. I add them according to the instructions on the jugs and I've played around with this and found that the manufacturers directions work pretty well. Soon enough Ill buy a TDS meter, but they are expensive! Damn. For now I got settle for a cheap pH meter, and I try to keep it 6.2 -6.5 if i can. I also use Big Bud for a flowering enhancer but I'm going to use Monster Bloom from now on, they work equally well but monster bloom is like 30 bucks cheaper. Gotta save for that meter.
So right now I've got a BLZ bud mother plant (under 100 watt CFLs) about 2 months old that I grew from a feminized seed from seedism. I've taken a bunch of clones from this plant, and I'm going to flower 3 clones after only maybe about 1 or 2 more weeks of veg, and flower 3 others after a month or two of vegging. Get some nice big monsters going later. The ones that are going to be flowered soon are under a 200 watt hps light and the ones for later are under 2 100 watt CFLs. I've also got a OG Kush feminized seedling going under CFLs as well. This OG Kush is the Ghost cut and I got the seed from Dr. Greenthumb (<--this guy's the man). This will be a mother plant that I'll take clones from it as well. I clone using the old humidity dome and rockwool cube method. It took a bit to get it right, but I have pretty good success these days. I use CloneStart for a foliar spray as well as the rockwool presoak and it works pretty well.
That's pretty much the whole intro. This should take all summer and I'm pretty pumped for it. Comments, questions, trashtalk, whatever is welcome.
