Dude, no need to come off as harsh. I'm only going by what my cousin has told me. And I've never found anything in my Google searches that says the strain hasn't been around in any time frame. I am only merely relaying information I have in my brain. I haven't seen it at any online seedbanks, but that's not to say somebody somewhere doesn't have the original genetics. I don't know when it stopped being available. I wish you would post the link to where you found that it stopped being available in the 90s. As I said, I'm only telling you what has been told to me. The condensending tone was very uncool bro. Ya killed my buzz.

I never said it stopped being available in the 1990s...I just stated that it wasn't available even in the 1990s...10 years before your cousin got his clones?

The facts are that whatever the plant was (G13 or whatever) taking from the lab at the University of Mississippi was a female clone. You would need a male and female of the same strain to make it a original G13 seed. What happen was that female clone was taking and crossed with some other male to get seeds. So you see there will never be an original G13 seed...ever. The only way that someone could have an original G13 is to have a clone from that same plant that was taken from the University in 1970 and kept it going for 40 years.

G13 is more of a myth or "cannabis legend" likely its just a name and as been hyped up by everyone and the movie "American Beauty".

Ok. Well, I have seen that Sensi Seeds has an original G13 female. Not sure if that's just hype, but it could be. All I know is that it's an Afghani indica and that it's undetermined if it's even a myth or not. The info I've read is that it was a strong phenotype from 23 different test strains and some guy jacked it and started growing it out and gave cuttings to friends and whatnot. So, maybe I don't have an original G13. But, in my little world, I like to think that somehow my cousin got the hook-up somewhere down the line and maybe got something close to the original genetics. All I know is we call it Fred, and Fred stinks to high heaven. And if you smoke Fred, you need to scrub the hell up in the shower, wash your clothes a couple times, bathe in cologne, and you still won't get the stink off of you. So, if I ain't got nothing even related to the original G13, at least I know it's skunky as fuck, and anything more than 3 hits and you don't do anything else for the next 3 hours or so. And there may be plenty of strains that have those same characteristics, but in my world, it's some sort of G13.

I think we can drop this G13 business. Just one last thing about it tho...Sensi seeds shows only G13 x (Strain).

I think its awesome that you have "Fred" and it does the trick for you, its probably 100x better then any of my grows. I never bashed you as a grower or said anything about you having a weak plant or ANYTHING like that. But if I said that a UFO lands in my backyard everynight....you would just take my word on it...or would you want proof?

I agree, let's just drop the issue as a whole. And I ain't trying to claim that mine is better than yours. I won't start no pissing match. I was only merely relaying information that was passed onto me. As far as the UFO business...I won't go there. Lol. I never meant for this to get out of hand like this. Understand that I was only striking up a friendly dialogue. If I'm misinformed, so be it.

I don't think it got out of hand and as far as I see it, it was a friendly dialogue. That's the thing about text is that it doesn't relay tone very well. I had never heard about G13 before you said something. I like to do research on anything and everything. I hope that you sick around and if you have a thread like this going on I would love to see how your lady's fair over the next few months. You said your grow is clones from your cousin? How many do you have going this year?

I only have 4. Two big ones in 5 gallon buckets and 2 small ones (clones), in small Hosta buckets. My cousin seems to think that I should be able to get a quarter pound from each of the big ones. Idk though. We will see. I was gonna start a journal, but my inlaws' computer is slower than death, and you can't upload photos on it to save your life. Now that I've got my laptop, though, it's a bit too late. As soon as I start my cab grow, though, I'm definitely starting a journal.

These are the only images I can find. These are from this week. I got more posted in another thread somewhere that actually show the full plant. These don't really show very much, except the buds. Idk though, even if I only get a QP between both of them, I'm definitely making some hash with the trim. This is my cash crop. Gonna get me a cheap winter car with the money I make from it all.

I really don't know how much you will get. Maybe 3 oz off each...4 seems unlikely, but you never know. They look very healthy, about 4 feet tall...could hit 5 before everything is finished.

That's very true, I don't really care how much I get off mine, ill just be happy with something. I haven't smoked anything in about a year, so I am looking forward to that first bowl.

The girls are doing great, nothing to really report on, other then for only being 2 weeks into flowering there very frosty.

No smoke in a whole year? Ouch. Bro, I will finish this vape for you. Lol. Damn. Mine just started showing signs of trichs. But they are looking good. I have seen a lot of pics of people with only 2 weeks into flowering and they're showing lots of trichs.

Another small update (day 91)

3 foot (babe)
1.jpg
*just another pic of some trichs*

Mushrooms
2.jpg3.jpg
*Anyone know if the mushrooms is a good or bad thing? I read somewhere that fungi can set up a symbiotic relationship within the root zone.*

Trim
4.jpg5.jpg
*I took off some small branch's that didn't get any light. Also they now wont waste the plants energy on spots that I will get almost nothing from if I let them finish. There from the two small ones. There whole branch's..not nodes from a branch.*

I might get two small bowls from it, good chance to test out one I made. I am slow drying them and will post on it when there done. :weed:

I'm not sure. I've been reading on the forums mixed information. Imo, I would research what kind of mushroom they are. Some are beneficial to the plants, some are not. Some can bring disease and pestilence with them. From what I've seen on here.

Leucocoprinus birnbaumii .... won't hurt you, unless you eat it. It won't hurt your plant. It won't hurt your pets or your children, unless they eat it. There is no getting rid of it, short of replacing all the soil in your planter (and even then it might reappear). Since it makes such a beautiful addition to your household flora, I recommend learning to love it--and teaching your children to love it, too.

I guess ill just leave it alone. Its not hurting anything and looks kind of cool with a ring of mushrooms around my plants.

Awesome. So there ya have it. Looks like you got some some friendly fungus. I wonder if they have any benefits, such as other forms of beneficial fungi? Did you happen to see that in your research?

  • Habitat: Rich soils in tropical and subtropical regions; also common in plant pots and greenhouses in temperate regions. (so it shows my soil is good if there growing in it)
When the cap and stalk die back, they turn into a thread beneath the soil called a mycelium. A mycelium breaks down dead organic matter in the soil. This is good for your plant.
