Thanks. I love Cherokee purple so I went ahead and grabbed one plant for this year. I also just planted 1015y onions and grabbed a few packs of peppers.

^the smaller tomato in the upper left hand corner is the Cherokee purple.

Hey bud,

I have raised beds as well. I made mine out of landscaping timber. I wish I was in a better agricultural zone. It will be too cold here through may most likely.

As far as tilling in manure. I use this stuff called black cow. It's fairly cheap and works great.

My favorite tomato too! I found a mini version of it last year called "Black Cherry". Puts out lots of golfball sized tomatoes and seemed more vigorous and disease resistant than a lot of my other tomatoes last year. My gardens still look like @thumper60 but I did scrape off a couple beds and toss down some lettuce seeds the other day. .

Hey everyone, Its been raining here all week and I just want to get out there and play in the dirt. I ordered a drip irrigation system and I want to go install it so bad lol. I think its gonna be sunny this sunday and Ive got a big pork shoulder I want to smoke too. I thinking of smoking it while im installing the drip system! I'll post pics when I've got everything set up.

I got in my 2nd day of planting yesterday. Peas, beans, corn and soybeans last week. Squash, melons, cucumbers, cantaloupe yesterday. Rain on the way tonight, so should be popping soon.

Bright and sunny today! I'm smoking that pork shoulder

And I'll be fucking with the drip system while it's a smokin! Here's how the garden has been looking so far.

It's coming along.

I'm trying to keep things nice and tidy because last year was like a jungle lol

Drip system installed and pork still smokin

The one wavy drip line is because I had to go around established plants.

Internal temp is at 125 right now, still got a few more hours to go. As y'all can see, I removed all the skin except for around the hock. So that meat doesn't get over done.

Totally envy you ! Nice garden and that pork shoulder look so damn delicious!!! Have to wait till july before doing anything

Thanks man. The pork is now at 143 so not much longer. I had to add a few more coals to keep the temp up. I'll post pics of the finish product :blsmoke:
