2020 clips for strips?

Aw yea. Got one printed and have more coming. It's a little loose (19mm gap for an 18mm strip) but it's extremely promising. Waiting for the 2525 extrusion to arrive...

nice to see it printed.
when you have your 2020 you can check where some need to be added/shaved.
will see what i can do if i find the time.

I ended up ordering parts to build the frame out of 2525 extrusion, not 2020. They didnt have all the bits and pieces I needed available in 2020. Still waiting for those to arrive.

I have a dozen 3dprints of a new design coming in the mail, but your design still "works" in 2525. Ultimately I think I'll want a single long strip of plastic that runs the whole length of the groove with clips that hold two layers of pcb, overlapping them.

looks good.
glad to hear it kinda works, haha.
was just a quick sketch am sure it could be done better.
a long strip is for sure the nicest, you may need to divide it into pcs due to lengh restrictions of the printer, but i guess youre aware of that.

New batch of test prints came in, I'm less than enthusiastic with this.

I feel like I should give up and go with regular nuts & bolts, and lose out on one extra strip.

if its just one strip less, maybe the easy route.
if you have a lot strips to mount and may also want some slight logarithmic pattern i would suggest you do some rails where you can hold the nuts with.
would say one m3 nut with a washer between 2 strips can work nicely.
just a idea.
