P59, Warfox, Poco, bc, NewEnglandfarmer, Michi, Boatguy, all my homies, the ones I forgot or just keep secret, you're all awesome.
Thank you for the inspiration, the ear lending when I boo-hoo, the laughs when we share a discovery or something stupid.
Wouldn't be the same without this crew, if I hit a few million, I'd def drag us all to a great party, some hotel that wed have to convince not to call the fire department, the smokes under control.:clap::clap:
Want to thank you all for another fabulous year, peace be upon you and your family, may your medicine grow majestically, your harvest and season be trouble free, and I hope to see you all next year.
Not that I'm leaving forever, but, hey, its deer season.
:peace:PVOG
Good luck with the deer!
Still trying to nurse the bottom half of mine to completion.

I'm beat. What a great day in the forest. Let some skippers bless me with a show. Funny. All those days in the woods and only pull the trigger a couple times. Love it when they have no idea you're there.
I am down to 2 house garden girls. Tonight itll be mid-hi 30's - then sunshine for a buncha days. Send my cloudies to whatever, may wait for plant to just die almost, u less the rot is gonna destroy it.
Any tips on that odd plant would be cool. Poco, ever seen one like that? Michi?

Its a reveg for whatever reason, i’ve had my share, usually from putting them out while the daylight hours are increasing. The three bladed leaves or singles, the weird branching, leafy flowers.
Thank you so much! All my years never seen this. Or never paid attention . So you're saying that putting plants out in increasing light, may stunt and reveg the plant? Only sometimes I imagine.
I did have some stunted stuff, but I was sure this was a seed I'd bought or was gifted...

Heres one i had a couple years ago, put it out in mid-may from 18/6 indoor light. Never did it again, now i try to get my indoor light down to 14/10 first.

I took down my main colas on my last lady this afternoon. Bud rot has me a little more anxious than I normally am at harvest. Fine line to finished and finished with that damn bud rot sucking up the main colas. As many of you, I’m not happy… hell totally disappointed with the yield off the first (2) ladies. (~12z collectively minus bud rot). I get it, I’m an outdoor newbie, but given the time invested, I was just respectfully expecting more! Last (2) are looking like they’ll pull up the slack to some degree, but I was looking to avg (8z) minimum per lady. Dang I expect 1.5-2.0 lbs in a 4-4.5 month 5x5 indoor grow or I’m working trying to figure out why it didn’t happen! Lol :weed:

Pioneer, my take on your lady is a little different than Kero’s. I get and respect Kero’s take but I don’t necessarily agree with the comparison photos making his case. They don’t look like the same structural outcomes imho. I noted the foxtail buds in your photos right away… I find foxtail indoors is generally some sort of stress factor (ex: excessive heat, overly late harvest), but also some strains actually are developed to flower in foxtail mode too. Why I dunno… just some bro science likely I’m guessing I picked up while researching online in the day, but with that said, I’ve certainly have seen seed store sample photos of just that too. Be better to know what strain it is so you can stay clear in the future... Who knows maybe that elusive regional NE supreme lady will shine her light upon us in the near future! :p

Tha is for the intel. Yeah I mighta paid for that seed, lol. So, Poco, you said you made plans, and Mothwr Nature didnt let you know the details? She wasn't in on the plan?
Rule#1 Expect the worst, it levels out your expectations. I've had entire grows infected with borers, aphid and mite infestations , rain that seemed to never stop and root rotted entire grows.
We've all weathered a few storms. You're obviously a very intelligent individual. Keep notes. A grow journal isn't just for memories, it is an extremely valuable tool, mine has become almost a living document, as should yours.
Growing outdoors isn't for everybody. But its addictive and has a low cost/high reward. (See how I did that?)
Dont be discouraged. And never rely on math to determine or predict output. Math is based on a non fluctuating set of numbers. 3 is 3.
Growing weed, 3 can be 2, or even 1. Or 6, maybe.
The biggest dichotomy I see is indoors you have complete control of the environment.
Outside, spores come on the wind from who knows where, worse, your idiot neighbor let's his males go and BOOM!!!!
I Ching.
One thing moves, all things change.
Keep up the amazing work, Poco. As far as the year to start growing outside, this one sucked. The rot is about usual, just a rough year. Wowww, and your harvest looks good. Perhaps not what you expected, maybe not what you deserved, yet I bet you learned a lot this year.
I know I did.

Pretty much what PVOG said, some years are great outdoors and some are pretty rough. Not much a person can do when it rains a lot of the summer and you can barely see the sun for weeks on end. I ended up throwing almost an entire plant's worth of lovely flower in the fire box yesterday (Purple Punch x AfPak), could maybe have salvaged something but the flowers I checked were riddled with mold and I didn't feel like dealing with it anymore. Might've accidentally driven the neighbors indoors, ooh-wee that stuff reeked when burned (lit it without thinking).

Anyway, I try to be thankful for what I do get even when it hurts a bit to see all the work go to waste. Last year was a great year (hot and very dry), I was tossing flower in a bag for ice hash I was so bored of trimming flower.

Last year was such a disaster I decided not to grow outdoors this season but I had 3 clones extra so I just planted them in the ground in the backyard. They were shade grown and got direct sun for less than 2 hours a day. Never watered or fed them. They grew mostly small buds. For some reason, those small shade-grown buds totally kick my ass!! They haven’t even cured yet and it’s stronger than its clone sisters somehow. Shade grown - it works for coffee beans why not weed? Anyone know about shade-grown weed?
