I'm not really enjoying Growdiaries.com anymore...nobody talks, they just post pics, a few people post "good luck with the grow" and that's it. So i wanna do my journals here, dont need all that extra info you have to put in at GD anyway.
So my winter run was fun. They were strains i knew nothing about, some good some bad, that's the way it goes.
These will be F1's from
Florida Strawberries (m)

Crossed with Cherry Rainbow

and Cherry Tropicana (big girl front stage)

Both with wonderful bloodlines, kudos to Erin @Constant_Elevations_Seeds
The girls were chopped just after xmas day, tried to stretch the harvest but weather was like fk you man.
Anyway after a bad germ attempt a while back i decided to try a new germ method, these tubes are just tap water but i added a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide every morning.

Boosh! My new preferred method, out with the old, in with the new...so long paper towels.
Already got some germed and in dirt.

I do have plans for these crosses, i am also looking for something in particular from these flowers...if i find it, who knows, maybe a new strain name or 2 will be up for debate, we'll see.

Male Fl.St. is cloned and ready for veg with them. Not sure if I'll Bx anything but the stud is on deck.
Comments ok

Difficult conditions has forced me to supplement light, grrr. I dont like to, i wanna be all sun grown..got that SG Kush...anyway umm
400w hps..i have a metal halide bulb but using the hps atm out here in my little half greenhouse.
Surprised nobody gave me guff about my domes..thnx for not riding me. This is outdoors and i remove the domes asap but with 30%RH i have to do it sometimes.
3 seeds were d.o.a....gonna replace cuz i want to see 7 or more pheno expressions minimum from a cross, the ch.trop.werent among the dead. The cherry rainbow, i must say, is my most anticipated and exciting cross...anyone reading with me,look for the ch.rai excited posts.

They're alive that's all i care about usually, lol...this is my unheated half greenhouse, they shouldnt even be this big lol.
Weather looks like it will permanently flip to warmer cycle next week, 3 ch.rai fems and 2 ch.tr. fems will get spots in the garden, rest go in 5g buckets for light dep.
Garden will also (most likely) have
2 wedding cake f6 fems (dude from alaska hooked me up, first grow)
1-2 GSC x Fl. St. fem crosses from last year.
1 Fl.St. fem
1 Afghan Bx (actually have 4 phenos in clone)
1 Grape kush if one of the 2 i have goes fem
Still need to decide if i will open pollinate or sensimillia this garden. That's 11 plants but i really like seeing the various genotypes displayed in rows.

Beautiful colas on those past flower pics!
They both have genes from this line of Jungle Boys Florida Strawberry, what a frostmonster...just a bit more open nug structure than i like. The cherry rainbow tho, omg near flawless bud structure...im not good at bud pics, youll have to trust me lol...i need a new phone.

The cherry rainbow is gonna have one cross pheno that will be an explosion of awesome nug...i hope.

They're all doing fine. Just waiting for them to sex out.

I need 3 fems from each strain (2), they will go into the garden in mounds. Two wedding cakes already out and going. I live in south texas so I can get out there much earlier than many others.
20220307_045939.jpg
then the remaining plants, male or female, will go into 5gal like these for me to light dep.

I'm seeing some pheno variance already.
good start to 2022 so far.

Looking good!!!!!!!!!
Wish I could get mine outside, but they are calling for more snow!!!!!!
I popped 6 different breeds of regs, have culled out 1 male, got another 1 to get out, still waiting on a few to show me what they are, but all 6 breeds have thrown out different phenos. This Hammer Mitten is the most pronounced, plants are way different, hoping the small one turns out to be female, it's an awesome looking little one!!!!!!!!!!!

These are freaking me out cuz this monster still hasn't shown anything whatsoever as to sexing...not even the start of a itsy bitsy tip.

3 ch.rai. 3 ch.trop phenos selected for big girl status and there we go off and running. These are displaying the most unique variety. Rest going in 5gal buckets and are somewhat standard hybrid look.

I also professionally installed a park bench using precision engineering to watch them grow at sunset :)

Very happy to see the trifoliate went male, he is on the left and every bit of the sativa lean i wanted for this line (ch.rai.) so win win there.
The one on the right is a great hybrid indica leaner, perfect for drawing out the FL.Strawberry in the cross.
