Considering we are still some ways out from the election and there is a lot more bad news to come for Trump, while women continue to mobilize over abortion and family planning rights. The democrats have made some legislative progress and everybody with a brain knows they need more people in congress and the senate in particular to make a real difference. This time around they won't need 60 votes if they can get just a few more senate seats, to make new laws and pack the SCOTUS.
There could be trouble with state elections as well as federal ones, these clowns won't go down easily and without a few indictments eventually. Texas looks vulnerable and state wide offices can't be gerrymandered, however the republicans are attacking democratic institutions from to bottom to the top, from intimating election workers, to their SCOTUS and congressional picks undermining democracy and the rule of law at every turn.
They want to fight a culture war? How about domestic terrorism, protecting, democracy, the constitution and the rule of law, not to mention abortion, as issues front and center?

Not until the government calls them or runs out the clock, election season usually lasts about 60 days up here. When I say we, I mean we have skin in the game too and if America goes nuts we will have big trouble here, since we are near joined at the hip economically, culturally and demographically. Even the power grid is integrated and we need to go green together, not to mention sports leagues and being your largest trading partner. So if you elect a bunch of fucking morons who destroy your democracy and alliances with other liberal democracies, crash your economy and cause a civil war we will get lot's of shit on us!
The Midas touch are like the Lincoln project, Political operatives who made a job for themselves using the internet to broadcast ads and other content. At least they are dealing in reality and appear to be on the eight side of history, if it takes cash to motivate talent, so be it. Lot's of people are making a living off of Trump, more will make some over his demise and even more picking over his corpse. The democrats can't control the anti Trump sentiment in the country or the internet, it's war so expect mercenaries to be involved!

As far as I know I've never posted bullshit by them, they mostly post and promote other people's YouTube videos. I don't see any need to lie when dealing with republicans, the truth is plenty horrible enough.
As I said, not just the rightwing nut media and foxnews is profiting from the passions of this cold civil war. I mean you could make YouTube rants and use Trump like toilet paper to make a profit and who's to stop you, truth or lies?

Well if you think about it the internet makes it possible, these people operate by making ads run on YouTube and shared on social media. The greed motivation seems to happen a lot more on the right though as do the lies, the republicans provide plenty of amusing and outrageous material, the comedy writers can't compete. It's the same with the war in Ukraine and the proliferation of social media news sources about it, some propaganda and some for profit.

The threat is plain and in the open, bust me and my supporters will burn down the country, fine let them try and shoot them when they do. Waves of domestic terrorism during election season won't help the republicans at the polls. If the republicans lose the midterm election by enough, you won't need to worry about domestic terrorism for very long, after the democrats pass some laws.

We see them on TV, you can read their biographies and follow their trials. You can blame the media they consume to an extent, but it really just appears to amplify existing character flaws, most of them aren't really that dumb, but are scared stupid bigots and racists. They claim to like Trump's policies, but can't name one and the GOP never had a platform in 2020, it was whatever Trump pulled out of his ass on any given day. Policies and facts don't really matter to them, it's what their brainwashers at foxnews and hate radio tell them to think that counts. Most of them are psychological at war and have gone tribal and when people do that they will sacrifice for the "greater cause".

Trump still has enough of the republican base to screw the GOP if he turns on them. He will force them to spout the big lie or he will attack them, if he can't own the GOP he will destroy it. If they lose enough in the midterms the democrats will take care of destroying them as a duty to defend and protect the constitution. This is not optional, it is required and necessary, like putting down a rabid animal. If they must sit at the table of power, then the democrats can help them to clean the shit off their asses with anti terrorism laws and a domestic terrorist watch list, works in other liberal democracies just fine.
