Here's what may or may not be a stupid question: If one set the temperature correctly, couldn't you use an electric blanket for a heat mat??? I'm on some McGuyver type stuff and the thought just crossed my mind.

Probably, hell you can fuck shit up with a heat mat that’s not temperature controlled (thanks vivosun :/ ) a lesson I learned the hard way on $100 pack of beans.

NOT recommended; electric blankets are not meant to be stepped on or sandwiched between anything hard.

Why would I step on it if I'm only trying to start some seeds? And why would I sandwich it between anything hard? I was only thinking of starting some seeds,as I said...
