Its fucking hot out.. 93°f with 62% humidity
I put a couple 6' stakes in next to this plant and spread her open abit letting sun get into the center 20220806_154514.jpgshes about 3'and 1/2 foot tall and about the same wide.. so far all of my plants have real nice color ..being organic there isnt no tip burns ..

I did some stem rubs in this heat seeing if the terps were any stronger.. ( super girl x train wreck x pineapple chunk x lucky charms)acouple have the classic trainwreck smell. Afew others the lucky charms smell is coming through and a few of the (sour diesel x endless sky) have a blue berry funk to them.

Well i removed some tops off of three plants today.. they had some weird purple shit starting on them.. i had read dew and overwatering can cause this aswell as low phosphorus. Im not thinking that is a phosphorus issue.. i had a member say its a possible purple beet curly virus.. but im not to sure on that either.. so i played it safe anyway and cut the purple tops off..
A couple pics of affected tops.. 20220808_161842.jpg20220808_161816.jpg20220808_161916.jpg
Im goin the trim back some branches from a couple trees that are shading out my spot ..
The plants are only getting 6-7 hours of direct sun now,, the rest of the time is spotty sun..

I saw your 1st post and then the other one. I have never seen that before. I have seen red stems…basically a plant “sun tan”…but different then that. Learned something- so thx for posting

I was looking at the ground under the apple tree thinking about putting a sign out free deer apples
Then i thought i wonder how this soil would do for growing weed.. i know certian soils affect the taste of grapes and cherry crops..
I wonder if i put one plant in this soil how the terps would compare to the same cut growing in standard mediums20220809_181336.jpg

Definitely looks like some sort of pathogen. By the way it's presenting itself I'd say it's possible it was absorbed by the roots. If that's the case removing the infected area is futile as new growth would likely be infected.
The wonky discolored new growth makes me want to say fungus but that's just my gut.
Pathogens can spread from one plant species to another so you may be on to something. It's also possible for it to live in your soil in that spot, and it can last years.

Im curius to why its presenting its self now and not earlier in the year.. like i said ive been going ham on watering.. these are in fabric pots but with like a 1/4 to 1/3rd of the pot planted in the ground.. they were drying out fast , well the top part out of the ground.. it started a few days ago, maybe five or six days now.. its been terribly humid for a week and rain the last couple days.. one plant thats affected is in a plastic pot out of the ground.. this is why i first thought it was coming from the box elder trees.. the trees are loaded with some kind of blatchy patches.. sorry i cant think of the name of what its called at the moment..

I didnt water/feed for a couple days..
Today i check them and most pots were real dry. So i watered and fed some alaska morblooms..

On a different not..
I bugged a bunch of fertilizer companys for free smaples..
Some [member] on here was talking about how he did it.. so i thought what the fuck.. ill try and see what happens.. lol..

Im thinking about giving a couple a heavy defoliation.. just to see if there is a better yeild by doing it compaired to not doing a defoliation..
Edit: ive done this in the past with Endless Sky.. topping and defoliating caused a lighter yeild..
This cross (my current grow) may do better with it.. all my plants have been super cropped except for one. And its pitty full.
Hardly any latteral branching..

breeding time:
one of my two choice males is almost ready.. balls are stacking hard and maturing.. couple more days and ill be pollenating my earliest female.. 20220815_150820.jpgwith this stud.. 20220815_175654.jpg He's looking thin because i pulled all the big fans off.. im not sure why i did that.

sour diesel x endless sky :
these three females are alittle leggy and had a little defoliation .. 20220815_175952.jpg
This one here is quite fuller with tighter node spacing20220815_180008.jpga couple of these leaves in the foreground are dinner plate size.. just to give an idea of scale..

Alright,, just got done cutting some trees and limbs out of the way of my (4 way) patch. Hoping that will allow 1-2 more hours of direct light to the plants..

Im not taking pictures of the fallen trees and limbs because of security reasons .. i dont want no rippers getting my plants.. theyre in the yard and all(my plants).. but that wont stop an asshole set on stealing some bud..
You never know what local lurkers are on the forums.

CLONES:
Cut some cuttings tonight,, potential mother plants for the winters indoor crop and next years outdoor plants..
Cut 3x earlier showing (4 way)
Cut 1x tight node and next early showing (4 way)
Cut 1x male ( s.c. x c.r.)
Edit: earlier showing = sex
