Yes. But after container starts. Usually first transplant. Sometimes second. It’s too hot in SoCal to grow in pots for my area of the desert. They always die unless put in ground.
or in Giant Pots. 100g or more. I cut the bottoms out my 35g fabric pots for this year.
I have found i prefer digging a shallow (2-3") cut for my 2g pot start transplants. May help..maybe not but im a hybrid...some inground, some above.

Yeah. I try every year. I did 5 gal buckets to see if the thick plastic helped with the heat. Nope. Even buried half in the ground. Nope. Lol. I like your idea tho. Farm like irrigation. Nice touch

Yeah. I do a minor till with my machine about late feb. but for my veg garden. The cannabis. I tent to just add topper and that’s it. I don’t wanna fuck up my biology. But I could be a weirdo for thinking that
naw i usually let my veg garden sit and ripen, course most of veggies are in large pot above ground, i have one grow box on the ground which i leave as well, usually don't start up those till end of feb and early march is when i re-amend and fold those soils i make....

now when it comes to little ones i start seedlings in Jan keep them inside till.......here is an example of one

We’re talking about something different. I’m talking no till. Meaning In the ground directly no till. I don’t touch my cannabis gardens dirt. Just lay top. But 15 years of amending. I’m pretty sure you can use that shit indoor if it were not for pests.
My vegetable garden i till up late feb. and soak till late March. Transplant my baby plants in the ground. Full swing by June.

new drip setup this year. I went with PEX fittings, cuz i can get them easy in any hardware store. If you use the 20psi inline restrictor you don't need clamps and tools. I used waxed string they use for boats. Haven't timed volume yet, just first run. they are coiled up for storage at the moment, i uncoil them and then pin them in place on the mound in a nice saturation pattern. I'm going with a 10 site garden this year, and this should do the trick nicely.

We’re in the last winter storm in so cal :).
after this. Ill be setting up more raised soil bedding and more castings. So far this year. My outdoor non container section might as well be container soil blend. Black dirt about 3 feet down 25 feet across and 10 feet wide.
Iv never preped soil like this. I can’t wait. But don’t wanna fuck up and start to early again
