@ViparSpectra This light is fantastic! The optical lense technology is a game changer in my opinion.

From corner to corner in my tent the ppfd readings were really close according to my Photo Bio by Phantom meter. The hot spots were minimal especially when comparing to my bar lights and other QB lights.

The XS1500 Pro is one hell of a deal. You get the ability to daisy chain and run multiple units. You have five dimmable settings. 450 diodes running at 150 w. It comes with high quality components like metal gear ratchet straps. And very useful hanging brackets.

The XS 1500 Pro was easy to set up and the plants were extremely responsive.PXL_20230629_222423807.PORTRAIT.jpg

Looked at light before. They did not add enough red (660nm) to spectrum. Look at the 660nm spike. should be higher red.
Compare to HLG as an example. Look at Scorpion R Spec. red spectrum. Much more enhanced. Can see the frost building
right now.

Just how much Red/ Deep Red should be in the spectrum compared to the other colors (relative intensity)? What is enough/ not enough/ too much?

Yes HLG is a solid light! But for the price and performance I am happy with the XS1500 Pro. :eyesmoke:

It could, perhaps, use more red. But the price versus performance is pretty unbeatable. Many led growlights that included lenses up until now have not properly utilized the arrays. ViparSpectra have done something pretty special here, I think.

I mean, the xs1500pro goes on sale for less than $100 on the regular. Four of these over a 4x4 for less than $400? Forget about it.

The weird thing is, unlike quartering and lighting a 4x4 with other like wattage lights, these should probably be centered over each 2x2. Cocoforcannabis found that this fixture beams down sans hotspot. He even looked super closely and couldn't find one.

Back to the question of red, some GLA red PC buddies would help without breaking the bank.

MARS FC series / spider farm cheaper lights have more red. Not necessarily HLG. Thanks
