20x7 grow space.

Alright so real quick. I’m about to start building a grow room in a basement.

Space is 20ft x 7ft.
This will be a flower room only. I have a separate space for veg.

I’m shuffling a few ideas around in my head on the design.

Right now I’m wondering if I should flower the whole room in one full grow. Or if I should build 4 separate 5x5 rooms and aim to fill/harvest a room every two weeks or so.

I’m wondering if a four room setup will be too difficult to control the climate rather than one big room.

I made this little model at work

so 4 rooms
each room would be 7x5 with 5x5 dedicated to grow space and 2x5 work space. Or just say fuck the walls and grow out the room. Decisions!

I had the same issue I went with 1 7x15 flower room Im hoping once up and running properly the room will be easier than smaller broken up spaces. Im trying to get co2 set up and room flipped but everyday I seem to get further behind and my plants look terrible.

What will you be able to legit handle as far as equipment goes? Start small and work into bigger? Or f it go big or go home lol

My only advice would be give yourself room to work.

My room is 7x14 and my tables and lights are all 3x4. Once you pull tables/ plants away from wall a little and they start stretching, it starts feeling real cramped in the room width wise, even moreso if you have other equipment that will be in the space too ( dehuey/fans/reservoirs). fkn drives me crazy

Once this crop is finished , im redesigning the room with smaller tables and lights in a L shape.

It's funny how crowded my rooms feel when the plants are big compared to when I move them in there.

Also as @diggs99 mentioned, equipment. It's usually bigger that it seems. Like a dehumidifier can't be backed up against the wall or it can't breathe. So planning how to maximize the space in every way possible will be to your advantage.

20x7 room. I'd use 20x5 as canopy area and have a 2x20 aisle that you can work from. What style are you going to use? DTW? DWC? Are you growing in coco? Also what's your lighting? That will determine a lot. Basically need more information to give a good answer.

Realize you will end up setting a dehumidifier and whatnot in that aisle. May want a little space along the 5 foot dimension.

My flower room is 8x20. I've redesigned it like 6 effing times. I use 8 x 315cmh spaced 3ft center. 4 on each side. I got buckets attached to both long walls, and lst bend down at an angle to point at the middle of the room. Laid under scrog net. It starts with an isle up the middle, but it fills in so fast. I designed it all legless, so I can crawl under it all to adjust and pick leaves. Its quite spacious underneath.
