Gotta put together some type of scrog frame tonight, thinking simple wood frame. Updates to come
Hey ya Bam, I see a lot of folks using pvc instead of wood… I don’t scrog at this point because tbh I’m really just to fat and old to be sliding under that netted canopy to flip/train the branches and to a lesser degree the watering in a tent (I’ve fallen and I can’t get up syndrome lol) ;-), but I’ve seen some fantastic scrogs and maybe can use the knowledge outside so I’ll be paying attention to whatever you figure out. Good luck! :D

Thanks ya I see that pvc seems to be the go to but I have some furring rips I may try to use just for the sake of waste not want not but we’ll see. Thinking 4x4 or 4x5 frames. I should be able to slip around frames not sure but gonna find out lol

Got it, I’m guessing a wood frame, though just as effective might be less flexible for moving around with the default weight of the wood, so there’s that too. I‘ve seen some scrogs with smaller individual plant scrog nets too. Whatever you decide, have fun doing it! :bigjoint:

Ahhh… 1x1 is nothing really but you make a good point. You don’t have to waterproof pvc! Hmmm… are you considering using the nets in your outdoor grows too? I know you had mentioned you wanted better training on those beautiful but tall ladies in your yard last season. It might be less complicated overall to just use the pvc.

Ran a slurry test on the medium, 6.25 pH, 700 ec, 350 ppm, more or less where i think it should be. Light foliar feed has greened them up. Uppotted to 5’s last night. Fimmed the one in back again. Ready for a feeding.
Not sure about the slurry test, youtube said equal parts soil and distilled water, i doubled the water. Tap water reads 7.9 ph and 160 ppm. Liking the vivosun pen set.

Ghetto windowsill grow plodding along. Wanted to goose them into flower so killed the supplemental lighting on the 1st. Two of the Waziri repros are girls, the third one and the tall Tirah still haven’t declared. Goal is to finish end of April but we shall see. If I get an ounce off each girl I’d be happy - I still have about a quarter pound of Waziri jarred from the 2020 outdoor grow and it still smokes nicely. Oh and about three lbs. of jarred Tirah plus enough dessicated flower to make at least a half pound of hash so no production pressures, I may have to set up a freebie farm stand to clear jar space this fall lol. Will start outdoor crop on April 1.

I gotta say I’m impressed. Can’t say I’ve seen anyone do a window sill grow with any real success. How do you approach flowering? Do you just remove the supplement lighting and leave them to their druthers with the window lighting or do you move them to a tent or something? I’m thinking your gaining hours of light while in flower if just the window sill so I was curious.

Last year I had three plants that I did on the windowsill. They started flowering on their own at the end of January even while getting supplemental lighting for a total of 14-15 hours per day. Once I saw that, I yanked the light and they stayed in flower right until I chopped them on May 1. Never went into reveg even though they were flowering as daylight increased, no hermie issues,* they just kept flowering.

I’m following the same path this year, although they started flowering about a month after last year’s plants did so we will see if that becomes an issue.

* I’m on IC as well, and over on the landrace thread there are all these folks with ten or twenty times my experience, using all these esoteric techniques and feed formulas and what have you - and quite a few of them complain of gender issues or weird growth. I’m really becoming convinced that when it comes to weed, doing less is more.

If you don’t mind me saying p59 the girls look a little thirsty. And I’m curious about your soil, not a knock , it’s obviously working for you but in the pics it looks really heavy

Yep I let them get pretty dry between waterings, the plants are still small for the bags so I err on the side of underwatering as I don’t want the bottom half of the bags continually soaked. They did get watered today, and I turned the humidifier back on as I think they are starting to get annoyed when the air is dry.

The soil is straight from the garden holes I grew in last year so yes it is dense, I carpet-bombed the huge Tirah with worm castings all last summer so there’s a ton of that still. The denseness definitely makes lower bag water retention more of a possible issue, for sure.

Hmmm… Looks to me like you a nutrient deficiency of some sort, what soil were you using and what did you transplant into? Maybe the new soil will rectify the issue given more time. The soil looks a tad dry too.
Its the soil from last summer, a mix of happyfrog, oceanforest and promix compact bales, predominantly peat, ph 6.25, tds 350 ppm. I foliar fed with grow big and i think the new growth is green so it should be ok now. I’m waiting another day or two for root development then a healthy feed and close the door for a week.

The KISS method approved! :D

Looking good, as said impressive window grow.
well here’s what I’m working with. It’s been a rough start with new lights and chem nutes but they’re coming around. I know wood especially untreated isn’t ideal but just for this run until I make something better lol. Went with separate 4x5ft

Ya I know that i m over it was kinda insurance to make sure I had six then couldn’t find a home. I’m thinking of pulling two out of the scrog and keeping them tame for outdoors…… I hate wasting
