21 days flowering

My first grow:Started in the "aerogarden" for veg. then switch to the "Microgarden" (aeroponics) system for flowering. 400w(hps) It's also getting a bit too tall. I tried putting fencing above the main bud but it just grew right thru it. What should I use? How long should I let her flower? With her being as big as she is: about how much will she Yield? Is it possible that i can "juice up " my light by getting a digital ballast? Thanks in advance.

I started from bagseed and veg. for 6 weeks, now I've been flowering for 8 weeks now. I have seen alot of growth, but my buds are looking wispy. I have been doing some reading and i think thats it a Thai strain. The leaves have long thin blades and she stands about 6ft tall. There are alot of bud sites but they are not compact. She is packed with pistils, but the calyx's are still their normal size. If anyone knows anything about the Thai strain please assist me in: How long should i flower? and If and when will the calyx's start to swell?

Looks like Mexican Sativa strain to me. You need to order seeds to put that light to good use.

At 8 weeks flowering she should have been done. But mexican usually take an extra 4 to finish.

If you want to see more product in your next grow, try cutting the bottom stems and use them for cloning. This will make the plant focus its energy on the main cola which make you more product!

Out of all the strains that a bagseed has to offer, I get MEXICAN SATIVA(Thai). This is my first grow, im happy that she was a lady. But i wanted dense nugs but got wispy , this sucks... Im going to order some beans. For a noob, are there any suggestions for a good yielding and easy to grow indoor power plant? As far as the MEXICAN SATIVA, will the wispy nugs start to get dense? Or will they always stay the same size? Hey Florida, the light cycle is 12/12. I was wondering where did you get your beans, and how long did it take?

just because it is mexican doesnt make it suck... and also there is no way to really tell what strain it is; but it def. looks sativa, and sativas have those "wispy" buds. they will fill out fairly well at the end of flowering, but they wont be those rock hard, football sized colas you are dreaming of. still well worth the effort though; looks good. i'm still new to good genetics, so i cant recomend an indoor strain for you, but i can say that you will be amazed at the difference good genetics makes in a grow.

You're on the right light cycle.

If your plant still looks like it does in the pictures you have a long way to go before you know if it is dense buds or wispy. My first grow was outdoor with the same kind of seeds you have now... and they turned out to be the bomb diggidy(nice and thick).
I cant really give you advice from my knowledge of the grow... because it was outside, but i can tell you mine LOVED miracle grow powder (that you add to the water) nutes.

I got my beans from Nirvana. I have heard mixed emotions from other people about the quality of the seeds. But i got all 10 of mine to germinate. And 5 of the 10 are females.
So I have no complaints yet.

It took my seeds about 14-18 days to get here. You can pretty much feel safe about ordering because if they do seize them how could they possibly know you ordered them? I hear all they do is send a nasty letter to you saying they seized them blahblah.

FYI - I got Big Bud strain. Seems good for me so far, but im only a week into flowering.

It's a nice looking Plant. What ever Strain, I also think it's on the Sativa Side. & Ya It will take her longer to Finish. But Sativa after Matured has a Great High!!!! Push her to the side & Start some more!!!, EH~~~~

First, i want to say that I was not trying to offend anyone of the MEXICAN race by the comment I made. Being my first grow, and doing some reading. I wanted her to be Indica not Sativa. The flower period is too long and I like rocksolid nugs. Right now she stands 6 feet tall, and Im just going into my 8th week of flowering. Their are more bud sites than leaves, but looking at her up close their is nothing to smoke. I going to take everyones advice and just let her flower until she shows me what I want. At what week of the flower period should I expect for the leaves to yellow? What week should I stop using nutes? Thanks

So for the last 2 weeks flush with plain ph water, and for the last 2 days just cut the water? Has anyone ever tried adding sugar to the buds to increase the size? If so how much and how offten did you use it?

I was reading thru this wonderful book and came across a page in it that states someone used sugar during the last 6weeks augmented their buds size by 20% (page290). I juust wanted to know if anyone had read or was doing this.

sugar is not what you are looking for... blackstrap molasses is what you need

What is Blackstrap Molasses? Where can I find it? How much do I use? When should I use it? Can I use Hydrogen Peroxide to clean a Microgarden Aeroponics system? If so how much should I use?

I have been using plan distilled water for about a 11days now. I keep the ph around 5.9 to 6.1, no nutes. The leaves are starting to yellow and fall, but alot of the pistil's are still white. Also some of the calyx's are turning purple, it actually looks very tasty. The temps stay around 74-78 while the lights are on. Not really sure what they are when the lights are off. My questions are: why are the calyx's turning purple? Also, why is it that the top cola looks alot denser than the others? If I prune the top, and allow it to flower for another 21 days. Will I be able to make the rest of my tops look like the main1? Also, why does she smell like fresh cut grass when the lights go off? But when i touch it and smell my hand it smells wonderful, why is that? Don't mean to ask so many questions, just trying to make sure everything is going right. All advice is appreciated.
