2200 Watts and a couple bottles of CO2

Took your advice @TintEastwood and lowered my setting to 1000ppm and lowered the controller, shut my updraft fan off. Did more reading, starting to think it could be playing a role, I don’t know enough about co2 but I will figure it out threw trial and error. I had the setting at 1375, even worse lol :dunce: I might shut it off all together and just vent for a couple days if this isn’t it.

Cool. Hope they snap into shape for you.

Short-term testing....I might try timed venting cycles, while running the Co2. Waste, yes. It's just a test.
Worth a shot, the room is using very little co2 and I started with 40lbs, I can waste some for a test. Will reset my cycle timer in a bit and see how it looks in 24. I’m going to do a res change, it’s due (by calendar) and I’m going to be a bit tighter on that then last time. Thanks for the advice on the gas.

Well guys, will be taking a short intermission while I reset the room. @TintEastwood, it was root rot that started in the basket, all makes sense now and I’m pretty sure it was my lack of prep and hydro knowledge, everything was new and clean last time, took some things for granted, I won’t be attempting recovery of them at this point.

Good news is, I grew out a total of 10 plants far enough to see some structure and smells, (half were off scene) one really shined. Clones are rooting now, this will prob work out better in the end, sucks I wasted a month... live and learn.

2 be continued, in a week or so..

you were using shock though?

i was always top feeding mine when i used shock.
so that small zone b/t stem and water level got the rot? or is that not right?
I didn’t start shock at the start, at first I saw some staining and blew it off as nute stains, this is when I started light shock after my uc roots ran out, didn’t like it but I looked like stains and FNB is so muddy.

Once the roots got some size I noticed they looked over watered. The staining was right in the bottom of the basket, out of the water, I re used my hydron after washing it, just washing... I ran 4 ppm of shock top feeding for a couple days then added 3 more ppm. I could prob recover them but these have to be the worse looking plants I ever grew, I’m trashing them. I ordered new clay and southern AG, that has to come out of the USA.

Cut the tops off my favourite plant. It was a head scratcher, by the time I eliminated the possibility of feed or co2, the roots made it obvious I was overlooking the issue for a good 10 days.

They are still in there, In shock, swimming in shock. I will yank them later and run bleach for a few days and start cleaning up. Clones look good, 48hrs in and perky, for me that’s usually enough to bank on 100% success for rooting to happen.

Happy new year guys.. :blsmoke:

I ended up pulling the original plants, they recovered but I wasn’t dealing with it. Took clones off the best, rooted poorly, didn’t expect great things off the donor, set them up and decided I didn’t like the vibe, yanked all but one.

Long story short, I have some seedlings in now, pre 98 bubba x 3, however, I’m on the fence about grabbing some clones.. If I grab clones, I’m tossing yet more plants.... will decide this weekend, wasted a pile of time, was a bad startup, oh well... I will continue this journal regardless of the strain, shooting for fire.

Funny story, never had root rot, I was burning roots with pool shock, I did it again to my bubba kushes. Plants recovered good but I have some new gear I’m going to crack. So much time wasted, current plants are 6-8 nodes. I might bring along one bubba but I’m not seeing anything worth growing out. Grabbed some sincity gear, I’m retiring the pool shock as well, yes I used the wrong one, it was 2x stronger then I thought.

I love the structure of these pine tar kush ibl’s, let’s skip the 5 blade leaf and go right to 7. When I ran this outdoors it went 12 plus. There will be a PTK run this year, just looking for a mother again.

Also happy to report, everything’s under control, finally lol... just had to go bareback.

Pre98BK that’s coming along, having a hard time deciding if I’m keeping the last Sundae Best plant, I saw a nice pheno and this one isn’t exciting me.

P98BK- has a stink going on, deeper ridged leaves, better branching then the other 2.

Sundae Best, can see the pool shock damage on the lower couple nodes. Most growth is a week old, res changed the pool shock last Friday.

Planning on cracking a couple more seeds yet, need a 3-4lb run so it has to count.
