I put it simply this way. This plant has evolved over thousands of years with day and night. It is stupid to believe that they would run a seperate process at night (o2 to co2) but not have evolved some use for this time.
That pretty much sums it up.
Back in the day of the dinosaurs and shit, the planet had higher ambient CO2 concentrations. This is why plants do better when CO2 is introduced into the mix when growing today. Plants remember back when it was biitchin' to thrive and why I see 35% increases in yield versus when I do not use CO2.
The night off cycle allows plants to complete the transpiration and photosynthetic process. More is not necessarily better in this case.
