24 hour dark time flowering

I am a new grower. I have started flowering 2 weeks ago. about 3 plants havn't showed sex yet. I am using bag seed from better weed. In my studies before starting this grow I recall reading about leaving the plants dark for 24 hours when the flowering stage is started. does anyone do this. thanks.

I don't do this, and I don't recommend it. Plants need light-12 hours/day when flowering. You'll read that in any mj cultivation book. Better to research and read up on things for yourself before experimenting on your crop based on what other people think might be right.

You might be mistaken by the 24-36 hour dark period right before harvest to promote more crystals?

I would like to learn more about that, is there a paticular forum I can be pointed to.

some people try doing this to force the plant into flowering early. iv never done it personally cause i like to keep mine vegging a week longer than recomended. (crop scheduling overlap) im not sure the bennifit but it makes sence to me... one 24 hour darkspell wont hurt a plant as long as the temp stays consistant and over 65f. if you have already started your 12/12 this practice would be pointless for you. be patent, sometimes plants (of the same stran even) take over 3 weeks more to sexually mature than other plants in its same group.

i think its better to just go to 12/12. i heard of leaving it in the dark for 24 hours before you harvest. what is leaving it in the dark for 24hours suppose to do for the plant?
