so I have my plant on 24 hr light rite now, when I'm ready to start flowering should I
24 hr vs 18-6

You can veg at 18/6 or 24/0. The experts are all over the place on the question wether vegging at 24/0 is better than 18/6.
I "do" autos at 20/4 all the way through and mostly veg all the rest at 18/6. Mostly to keep the heat down.
But, it is necessary to switch the lights to 12/12 to induce the plants to flower.
