It's 18/6 veg and 12/12 flower, no reason to use anything other then those time proven schedules.
People are getting incredible yields from using 24/0 or 20/4 light schedules? I did 20/4 a few times and noticed nothing. Straight 24/7 seems unnatural being IMO vegged plants need some darkness. Great yields usually come from techniques, that not being one of them. I remember thinking topping would get me more yield, when in fact it caused more stress and gave me my lowest yields. I have the height, so trimming up bottom branches and lollipopping into week 2 of flower are what gave me my large yields now. Veg is kinda secondary to yield in a way. I can just veg longer if I wish to get a bigger plant into flower. Looking back at my hand written journal I see it took me 50 days of veg under 20/4 using T5s early on and a 400 MH mid to late veg, where I got to the same sizes I wanted using the exact same set-up in 46 days using 18/6.
Odd. The Alaska Thunder Fuck we grow outside here where it is never dark for much of the summer is far bigger than outside grows further south with fewer hours of light. Same with the cabbages we grow. Absolutely huge. Nothing like it grows in California or Texas. Coincidence?
a plant that comes from alaska, grows great in alaska/canada????? NO WAY!
Genetics can play a huge roll in size alone. I have seen plants here in northern California that are HUGE 10-15 feet tall. The longest day here is only about 15 hours.
There is a whole lot of debate out there and I expect none the less in here but I am also hoping that a couple guys in here will give me what they do.
ATF isn't "from" Alaska. It was created in Alaska.
There is no debate, science will prove that every living thing grows when it sleeps period. 18/6 until flower. Go check out my last posted thread, overnight growth, it is amazing what they do when the light are out. Kind of like real girls lol turn out the lights and look out.
