24x24 uninsulated Garage in New England build out?

I was using Rymes but we switched to Dead River (they bought out Rymes's Tank) Im on a cost plus basis with Dead river. its their cost plus a few cents or whatever on top per gal. I prepay estimated total ahead of time before the truck shows up. with Rymes I had my bank account on file and I paid in Full at every fill up. I'm new to this whole thing but it probably because i refused to fill out any sort of credit application and I pay in full at each fill up?

Thanks buddy, it certainly wasnt built by a pro hahaha so that makes me feel good.

im getting some slight leaf tip burn and leaf cupping after transplant so im dropping the temp down to 79 today then 78 tomorrow it was set to 80. and RH is hovering between 55-60 now.
ya now just pump that heat into the house,u hitting that temp with just lights?

Highlander thanks buddy, still have a lot of tweaking to do.

Looks like my coco is drying out pretty quickly I'm sure.leaving salt buildup in the coco. Starting to show signs of burn. I'll water with .4 ec today until good runoff then start back tomorrow at 1.2 ec. Hopefully I will have my drip system setup this weekend.

Thumper, the heat is exhausted straight to atmos. No way of using it back in the house right now. It vents for about 30 sec-1 min every 5-10 min to maintain 79 degrees. That's 8x devas dialed down to 600w 24/7 right now

Nice setup and yup I forgot about the 80% fill thing lol. What's the outdoor temp now where your at? We're into a heatwave now but Saturday was -30c here, wind chill at -40... fuck me lol. I haven't turned the lights on in the shed yet and at those temps I'm glad as I need supplementary heat.
Your lights alone are pumping out almost 17000 btu's, wild setup :). I asked about the plants being rooted because they look a bit stressed but I'm sure they'll come around.

Outdoor temp today in the mid 30s. During the cold snap we were -10 to -20 rh was like 5-10%

Ya they are stressed. The gg4 are fresh rooted clones straight to coco. Plus the first day I couldn't get humidity above 40rh. They were all at 75rh in the clone tent so I'm sure they are all seeing a vpd shift shock as well.

I've had to actually make humidity domes a few times after having them get all stressed when moving out of cloner to trays even after rooting. And I struggle in the cooler months dialingbin humidity. I don't follow the VPD numbers when intaking air from outside, it's pretty hard to maintain. Spring and fall I'm able to do it to some degree.

Any of you guys use fulvic or humic acid as pH down? My well water has some serious buffering capability and I hate adding so much phosphoric acid to lower my ph.

Ive recently bought a new place up in Maine and have a 24x24x11.5 garage clean slate to build out, I plan on building 1x 10x20 insulated room for now with 6x or 8x 1000w DE's, 48k mini split and modify an ebb n flow system i have for top feed drain to waste. Any tips or input on building a sealed room within a garage would be greatly appreciated. How does one dtw in the frigid cold of Maine winters? will I need to add an aquarium heater to my feed reservoir to keep it from freezing in the uninsulated garage? Ive never ran a top feed dtw, what kind of pump and feeding system should I look at using? I will probably use either perlite or hydroton for the medium, i thought abput coco too but ive had bad experiences with coco in recirc setups and ph. Maybe it will be much simpler in a dtw scenario. which one would be better for a top feed dtw like this? Eventually I'll add in a c02 burner once I get the room dialed in for 1 or 2 cycles. We have a buried propane tank out here so I'll get it plumbed straight to that.
You have to insulate the garage. Either replace the garage door you have with an insulated one if it isn't already or even pull it and finish the wall. You can use the principles of the lung room design to keep your temps up at night. I'd probably divide the flowering space into two rooms on opposing schedules and set up an air exchange between the two.

You can also get air cooled lights so that you can cool them in the heat of the summer and then run them open in the winter. If you run a sealed room with a lung room design and 4 lights in each side you may not even need to get too crazy with the insulation.

Hey joe. The room is fully insulated. It is essentially an insulated box built within the non insulated garage.

I have a few small space heaters to heat the room at lights out. It heats it up just enough to make the room vent a few times during the night to keep rh lower during the night time spikes.

The uninsulated half of the garage functions as a lung room of sorts. Air is pulled through the Ridge vent and soffit vents into the uninsulated portion of the garage before it is pulled into the grow room.

Eventually I'll seal the room up and use a 48k mini split. But for now this will have to make do.

I'm running open Rev micro Deva lights so I will have to deal with the heat buildup in winter and summer. Right now the simplest method is direct venting to cool the room.

That all sounds about right.

I probably won't have an outdoor ready by this summer. Too many rippers and I'm not keen on locals seeing that I grow anything here. I'm not worried about the local market. I only grow for myself, wife and family members.

I think what is showing as a mag deficiency is a pH issue. I adjusted back down to 5.8 and will let it slip back up to 6.2 or 6.3 over the next day or two.

My tap is .12 ec Im using Jacks and calnit in equal volume to reach 1.3ec then I add .05 agsil and .05 fulvic

I have this gg4 cut that is showing a mag deficieny. All of my other cuts (bbxnl, bbxww, MOB, white rhino, Pakistan valley, bbc, etc) all look perfect but these f*cking gg4's must be sucking up all the magnesium. I've been adding epsom in 3-2-1 ratio but still showing mag deficiency.

I also bought a variac transformer so I can reliably turn the speed down on my 12" 1700cfm exhaust fan. It's just too powerful and when the dampers flip to exhaust the room drops temp in maybe 30 seconds and sucks my humidity down 15% points each time. It basically flips to exhaust once every 4-5 mins for 30 seconds and sucks all the humidity with it. I'd like to dial the cfm down to attempt to have my humidity more stable. Essentially my humidity swing's from about 45-50% up to 60-65% in 4-5 mins, then in 30 seconds it drops back down to 50% and climbs back up to 60-65% over the next 4-5 mins.

Add your AGSil first. The high ph fucks shit up if you water already has stuff in it.
