Hello people whats a good distance to place 250 watt cfl above seedlings I brought 2 of them got 6 auto strains going now and I wanted to know using biobizz light mix and biobizz products only giving tap water at the moment has the soil has got nutrients in I put them straight in 10litre pots as Well using 4 inch extraction with air vents has intake room size is 120cm L by90cmD by 200 cmH

I would recommend around 16" to 20", seeing as a 250 watt bulb is pretty strong.

I never go lower than 8'', and that is with a t5 fixture.
Your bulb will get hot, and you will cook your seedling any lower than that, plus as you mentioned, you will get a better light spread at a higher position.
If you are growing 1 plant, that bulb should work OK, but if your growing 3-4 plants, I would consider getting a 400 watt HPS minimum, 600 even better, or go for a 250/350 watt LED.
Save the 250 for seedlings, and then switch over too the HID or LED for bloom.

Thax Mate my brothers mate has come down and he said go with a 600 watt in that space with a air cooled hood he said u will have a Betta yield compare to cfl he uses the full line of advanced nutrient as Well but I ain' got that kind of cash he said he will come down and feed them for me as Well I think I will let him takeover has he grows in nft I guess that' what good frends am for buddy he grows uk cheese as Well cuts only thx for your advice mate and keep up the goodwork
