250w HPS

Is a 250w HPS enough to flower 4-6 plants?
I wanna veg with cfl's/t5...but i wasn't sure if 250w was enough. All help is much appreciated.
 
yea its enough to flower that many plants... dont expect huge giant buds as this isnt enough light to get huge returns... but youll get some good buds non the less... what size area are you growing in?? personally what i would do is use the HPS and the t5's to flower... use the t5s as side lighting to help your cause out....
 
Not a whole lot of room. Half of a walk-in closet. I'm building a grow box so i'll have a flowering chamber on the bottom and veg on top. As for yields...i'm really not looking for a ton. Just some dense buds. I'm a medical grower so no need for bulk really.
 
i rekon 6 would be a squeeze under a 250, 4 should be fine tho
a 250 can get pretty close to the tops so the spread isnt as wide as what the larger lights get as theyre a bit further away usually.
i had 2 under mine and they took up most of the light.
a 250 is good for an oz per plant tho

Yeah i'll probly only be flowering 4-6 at a time...so we'll see how it goes.
