250w mh bulb and ballast Q

i just picked up a 250w ballast/hood. It came with a philips 250Wr bulb (also says 250/u). I was wondering if this was a good bulb or if I should upgrade it.

also, anyone ever heard of a 250w future-brite electronic ballast? Thats the kind I got but I can only find 400/600/1000w ballast by the company. Thanks!

Bulb is probably cool, i dont put much stock into the "special" horticulture bulbs that are out there i saw a test once where it showed that the difference in bulbs was not worth the super high price they put on them. I have never heard of that brand before, but those companies pop up and die quickly so i would t worry about it.

i emailed the company for information on the ballast....interested to see what they say about it
