There's no way that one of those systems will be enough for 8 plants. I wouldn't use that thing for one plant personally. Try looking at 250 watt HID systems, they are worth the extra money trust me. Click the link in my sig to see a 250 watt metal halide in action. Good luck

That is garbage, you would grow spindly litte plants that put the name big bud to shame.

Get a 400w hps and then you can grow a few small plants in a box but probably not 8 unless you were growing ***perpetual*** so that some are tiny and only a few are full size at one time. Zero veg time single cola perpetual grow plants with the mature ones cropping out around 1oz ea every week, never ending.

The box would need to be 3' x 3' for a 400w hps , or 2'x2' for a 250w hps with fewer plants.

What size box?

Look into perpetual grows...

Do you really want to grow the best plants you can? Get HPS...

my box size is 96cm wide, 64 cm deep and 90cm high. would the lamp be ok for around 4/6 plants

90 cm high minus 13 cm for the lamp and them another 20 cm for the distance you'll need to keep the light away from the tops of you plants. You're left with only 57 cm for your plants and that doesn't include the size of the pot.

That is kind of short, but all that means is you should probably get a cooltube or DIY one for about $20 with a candle chimney from a craft store, then you can grow within 4 inches of the plant and have the light all the way at the top of the box if you want.

Google DIY cooltube.

Oh and yes that looks like a fine light... See if they offer a cooltube version like this:
