What kind of CFL is that? and how much lumen is it throwing?
ok im using a hps for my whole grow ive got two big fuck off enviro lights 1 blu 1 orange they are 250 watt or maybe 200 im not sure all i wanna do is add a bit of blue at the end of flowering to increase trich i just wanna know how long to put the blue enviro on for. you dont need any more info really

just run the lights together or dont run it at all,the 400 watt hps will be fine if u cant run lights at the same time,i plug in a 6 plug adapter and my timer is the same way i have up to 12 plugs on one timer.good luck PEACE!!!

Oh and the waste of elec this not worth the return if u ask me just get a good 400w hps an "eye "bulb they can be priced high but worth every penny in return!!!!
sorry guys but you aint with me at all i have 1 light fixture not plug socket my plants cant be rotated as they fill the room and i cant be arsed to its not needed all i want to know is........HOW LONG DO I GIVE THEM BLUE LIGHT SPECTRUM TO INCREASE TRICHS. not what to change and how to change it thats all i want to know please stop with all the other advice im a experienced grower i know the score

What? You cant put the CFL into your HPS socket, it will explode. Even if they're both mogul base dont put the CFL into the cord that goes to the ballast.
As for how long, the same amount of time as your give them the HPS. DONT run the HPS is favor of the CFL tho, thats no good, the HPS is plenty fine on its own and about 1000 times better than the CFL.

i know this please why do i need to explain your killing me i have a hood with a wire that goes into a ballast i will take the wire out of the ballest and attach the enviro light wire that goes to the socket then takre out the hps bulb and put in the enviro for fuck sake sorry im obviously in the wrong place back to ic i go i have 6 years of growing indoors under my belt not to mention the 4 years prior to that i was growing out side my god. its a simple question i bet i have learned more info though practice than you could read. i mean how long should i swap it for each day for example 2 hours out of 12 or maybe 6 out of 12. i know you dont know so im pissing in the wind aint i.

The way you are explaining things is very unclear. My solution is buy a length of wire and a light socket and a friggin "Fix a plug" new plug end and rig up a lightsocket on a cord. Hang it in your room.

altho we are going off subject on his thread im guessing he is from the uk from the talk of the 250 cfl them 1s are just like hps or mh bulbs only they are cfls my m8 has 1 and they are superb..They go up to 300 w and they go into the reflecter BUT YOU DONT USE THE REFLECTER BALLAST!
It depends if your reflecter is connected directly to your ballast you cant use 1 but if you have to connect your reflecter to your ballast via a plug of sorts well you dont have to use the ballast. over here my friend uses a pc power lead (the 1 that goes into the mains)or even a kettle lead works as well to connect to his reflecter and then he just hooks his 250 into his reflecter.
cfl growers should look them up and maybe get 1 shipped in cause they are good lights and as you say massive wattage for a cfl.
