Thanks for the advice. I do plan to add more CFL's. So far, the plants seem to like the light, but maybe they'll grow faster with more light. My plans for my small veg area should give me up to 7800 lumens. My flower area will be longer/taller with CFL's to at least 15,000 lumens.Kubrick, you need more light for a better yield. I have seen posts that say minimum 3,000 lumens/ ft2. Although plants don't use the lumen scale, this is a good starting point to see how much light you need. I have a 1 ft2 area running almost 5500 lumens using 2 40w 2700k cfl for flower and 3 26w 6500k cfl for veg.
Hey doc, have you checked the forums about the seeding? Humboldt (user here) posted a great journal on his first cfl grow. He seeded a bunch of bubblegum in Yogurt containers under a plastic dome. So far, I've been treating my clones with straight water and organic starter soil. I plan to start introducing nutes slowly next week. Pics attached.
