If they are root bound and you do not have room for larger pots, you could cut back the root / soil ball and replant into same pot. I cut mine back when I transplant them. Imo it helps build a bigger root ball.

Ledwholesalers through amazon has good quality tents for cheap. I got my tent for veg there. Their amazon store is cheaper than their regular site.

Regarding raising lights to induce stretch:
Limited by grow box size :c I could turn one of the lights off?

Regarding transplanting up container size:
I have two 6L pots.. but they don't exactly fit in a rubbermaid container. Maybe I can scrounge up some money for a tent..
You can get a 36 in x 20 in x 63 in tent for about 80$ works perfectly for 2 plants unless you veg for 8 weeks and lst like a madman as I did. Then you might have some space issues. Make sure you get an exhaust fan though or you will have some heat issues even though your using LED.

Threw down last night for a 36" x 36" x 78" tent from Aviditi, the PTU-70. Wanted some headroom, for maybe a CFL nursery up top.
EDIT: Nevermind, they take 1-3 months to ship. Fuck that. Next best is a tent I found on ebay, 40" x 40" x 79" for $118...
EDIT: Ended up splurging for a 48" x 48" x 79" for around $150. I'll have enough room to expand a bit now.

Today I flushed with 1L (each) of 5.2 pH'd RO water, due to high runoff PH readings (~7).
Then I recharged with 500mL (each) of "week 2" strength nutes (5mL Calmag/15mL Grow per 4L, 710 ppm), PHd to 5.7.

There are definitely roots to the bottom of each container. I can't extract the plant without intending to transplant, but I checked the holes in the bottom of the square pot and can see roots through them.

are you misting them? what are you temperature readings night/day?
No misting, temps are in the low 70s Fahrenheit.

Plants are still stunted on day 26 from seed. Look healthy as ever, though.. My tent'll be here on Wednesday, so that's when I'll transplant to bigger pots and increase the height on my lights.

Flipped over to 12/12 on the 26th to try and get some stretch before my tent arrived, came back 2 days later to see two pretty ladies maturing:

IMG_7989.jpgIMG_7990.jpgIMG_7992.jpgIMG_7994.jpgIMG_7995.jpgIMG_7996.jpg

I hereby deem this "week 3" and mixed up a 4L batch of transition nutes for 'em:

5 mL Cal/Mag+
7.5 mL Grow
7.5 mL hydro Bloom
5.7 pH
710 ppm

Good that they're both female, I guess. Kinda wanted male/female to get more seeds, but whatever.

I don't expect more than a couple grams from each, at the best..

Quadruple posting for day 30 from seed!

Tent's up, both ladies repotted (were heavily rootbound) in wick/bottom aeration pots, lights hung and 36W of CFL added for supplement.

Quadronipple posting, day 35, day 7 of flower.

DSC01671.jpgDSC01672.jpgDSC01676.jpgDSC01677.jpg

I gave up trying to get 'em to stretch (it's the Lowryder genetics, I think) and lowered the LEDs to around 4". CFL wattage is up to 26W+23W=49W, but I've borrowed them for some catnip sprouts and a new seed (same strain) I planted.

Awwww yeah!

IME autos seem to be rather sensitive to root binding. Mine did the same (staying unusually compact and small) when i kept them in too-small pots.

Looking good now, though!

Update for day 49, 21st day of flower. Natural lighting! :0

Moved the big one over to let the small one be under the flowering light (much more red, no blue) for a while.
DSC01688.jpgDSC01689.jpg Height: 8" Diameter: 12"+
DSC01691.jpgDSC01692.jpgDSC01695.jpg Height: 7.25" Diameter: 7.5" Pistils ripening already..

Catnip which is thriving under CFL, and my dirty-ass bong in the corner.

DSC01699.jpg
And the start of my new perpetual grow. Hopefully it's female. Same strain, same setup, more experience, more light. I'll get some feminized autos when I run out.
Do you guys think I should start a new thread for these plants once I get the A51 SGS-160? Or should I complete these two (using the new light, of course) in this thread, and then start a new thread for the seedling and future plants?

Day 57, 29th day of flower (week 5 flower)

DSCN1057.jpgDSCN1059.jpgDSCN1061.jpgDSCN1062.jpgDSCN1063.jpg

Getting some discoloration at the leaf tips, from top of plant down. Seen in second pic, there's a slight browning... Could be a lockout due to N toxicity (I have some "claw" going on in both plants). Could also be a myriad of other deficiencies. Any pointers?

Water soluble nutes, from Botanicare. Currently feeding 25ml/4L Bloom and 5ml/4L Cal/Mag at around 5.7 pH. Haven't checked PPM 'cause my meter's battery died. They drink about 2L every 4 days or so. Roots are down into the res of the hempy pots.. Was thinking of picking up a couple of cheap, small airstones and trying a hempy-dwc hybrid..
