Hi guys this is my second attempt at growing, my first failed about 3 weeks into flowering because of root rot. I changed the set up from DWC to ebb n' flow and moved to a new house so I'm not growing in a laundry closet anymore. This set up is based off of the Mr. Green video, my flower room is and ebb n' flow set up and I have a drip set up in my veg room. I'm still waiting on a couple of things for both rooms to be complete so you guys will see some changes in the set up in the next couple of weeks

Heres the setup:
4.11x4.11x7.5 Flower tent

600w HPS

3x3 ebb n' flow tray

16 6"x6"x7" square pots

4" Carbon scrubber/fan

6" vortex 449cfm fan to cool the light

6" ebay special fan to pull cool air into the tent

2x4x5 Veg tent
3 T8 light fixtures with 6 6500k bulbs

2x4 Tray to hold mothers and clones

10"x20" mondi humidity tray and dome

6" duct booster pulling fresh air into the tent

I had 4 Northern lights seeds from Nirvana left over from my last grow, I germed them in rockwool and all 4 have sprouted.

I bought a pack of Purple Wreck seeds from attitude and started 4 of them in rockwool as well. They gave me a free Dinafem Blue Widow and Blue hash plant seed so I started those in rockwool last night as well. I'm going to grow the NL and PW from seed to flower and take the BW and BH since they are feminized and use them as mothers. I will probably the strongest PW seed and use it as a mother as well.

Any comments are welcome!

I have came to the conclusion that rockwool is the best way to germ seeds. I had the NL seeds soaking in a cup for 3 days and none of them cracked then I moved them to a damp warm paper towel and one cracked then I put the last three in the RW and they cracked and sprouted. The PW BW and BH were all started in RW a day and a half ago and all six seeds have cracked and are already pushing them selfs up to the light.

I put the BW and BHP in the veg room so they can be mothers for the next grow. I topped 5 plants and 4 turned male 6 boys total, also I have a retard NL plant that I don't know if its going to be male or female. I'll post some bud porn in a week or two.

Just starting week 3 of flowering, there's not much going on but bud production.

I started a feminized pineapple express seed that I'm going to use as a mother

My first try at cloning failed pretty hard. I tried using a rooting powder and rockwool and that didn't work then I tried using a cup of water and that was unsuccessful. Do you guys have any cloning tips?

As for cloning tips, the first tip I have is use the clonex gel. I tried several others but the clonex gel just worked. Next tip, after cutting, split the stem right down the middle, like a hlaf inch, then make one inch cuts doen the bottom of the stem. The scarring promotes roots. Also, be patient, some clones dont root for 15 - 20 days, some root in 7. They look like shit right before they root, so if the leaves start to yellow, its probably about to root. Next tip, cut off as much leaf growth as you can, the extra weight seems to make them wilt the first few days. Next tip, use lowest branches, they root better. Next tip, use long thick stems. Like 5 - 6" and thick.

I dont use a humidity dome but if you do you gotta mist'em like 3-4 times a day. I use Nutrilite formula(superthrive knockoff) to feed em but plain water is used by many.

Also, you plants look stretched, did you have the light too high? Keep that light like 14 - 24" from the tops, you'll get more bud and less stem.

Thanks, If these clones don't work out I will do what you said.

As for the girls, at first I was having problems keeping the temperature down. The only way to keep the temp down was to put the light on the top of the tent and run the ducting straight across. I vegged with a 600w MH bulb that was about 23" above the plants, then they started to flower and I had to lower them. I was using a 92000 lumen HPS and the tops were about 24" away and you can see now they are pretty close to the light. But this is just the beginning of week 4 of flowering so I think they will fill up nicely. :leaf:

Bud porn!!!!

According to the Fox Farm feeding schedule at the beginning of week 2 of flowering I was supposed to flush the ladies with clearex. At the time I didn't realize that I was supposed to use a flushing agent so I just used tap water (I've been using tap water the entire grow). Well last week the ladies started to show signs of nutrient lock up so I bought clearex and flushed them yesterday. I was using about 20 gallons of water and after about half a day of flushing the water went from 183 ppm to 350ppm so hopefully I cleared all the shit off of the roots.

This is week 5 of flowering, I was looking at DNA and Nirvana's websites to see how long it was going to take to finish the ladies and the PW takes 8-9 weeks and the NL takes 9-11 weeks. Right now the majority of the trics are cloudy, so should I start flushing at the beginning of week 6 or week 7?

I attached a couple of pics from my veg room I have 8 Blue Widow 6 Blue Hash Plant 1 NL and 1 Pineapple Express that are ready to move in the flowering room.

Feel free to leave comments ! :leaf:

I bought a 1000w bulb/ballast because my ladies have big dense colas but almost all the buds half way down are pretty airy. Hopefully the 1k will help pump them up:leaf: When is the best time to start flushing? Right now all the trics are cloudy, I've heard flush when they are cloudy, flush when 10% are amber and flush when 30%-40% are amber. I think I should flush starting week 7 because the NL takes 9-11 weeks and the PW takes 8-9 weeks.
For my next grow instead of a couple big plants I'm going to grow 24 small ones sog style
