2nd grow - 4 strains DBB, KK, OT, BB

right it's been a couple of days and here's the latest. 2 of my seeds have cracked enough to pot, 2 not quite there and 1 still to crack her tail. i've added another seed into the mix (strawberry fields) just incase i've got a dud. i've potted the 2 and the whole lot is under a hood under the lights. the temps in there were sitting at 35c or for my american friends 95f. asked about this and informed was to high so turned off the heat mat and lowered the hood about a ft further from the light so hopefully i'll get it down. havent got an ac unit so making do with what i've got. it's been about half an hour and it's now 31c or 87f. still a few deg to go. the seed that hasnt cracked is the orange tangerine but will leave a couple of days to determine it's fate. any input feel free people.

a little update on whats going on. i've got 4 potted and sprouted, a couple of them looked a bit dodgy once sprouted but after thinking the best thing to do is leave these feckers alone and hey presto they've sorted themselve out. these 4 are 2 double boubleberry and 2 freebies double diesel ryder and kandy kush. i've also gone a bit overboard with the germinating of seeds as threw in some more as was thinking im might have a couple of failures. so i've got another 6 seeds germinating. if these all turn good im going to have a problem later on with space as there's no way im going to fit 10 in my space once there bigger. dont think this will happen as im pretty sure i've got a couple of dud seeds. there all freebies anyway so not really giving a shit about these. brucey bonus from now on in.
the 6 thats germinating are another kandy kush, orange tangerine, golden grapefruit, bouler bublegum, raspberry manderine and strawberry fields. but thinking im only going to get about 3 of these potted. just going to have to wait and see. reckon i should be potting 2 either later the day or tomorrow as there almost there.
6 or 7 plants i should cope with so we'll go with that.

temps in my grow room are steady at 29 - 30c with light on so looking better on that front. nothing much else to report so will update in a few days time or so.

now upto 8 potted seedlings. here's the deal, was reading ocho2 grow journal and saw he planted a couple of seeds that were cracked but not showing the tail and they sprouted for him. i've had a couple of seeds that have cracked but not showed there tail yet and 1 thats had the slightest of tails and they've been like this for a couple of days. so i've stolen this idea and lets see if it works for me. will prob get slated for this but giving it a shot. thinking the impatence has got the better of me. (dont be to harsh on the slating people).

so i've potted a strawberry fields and a boulder bubblegum (these are the 2 that havent showed there tail). the 1 with the slight tail is the golden grapefruit. not expecting all of these to make it but hopefully at least 1 will. who know's, im entering the unknown here for me anyway.
i've got 2 more seeds thats i've all but given up on as they've been germinating for a week now and havent cracked at all. there still in there but if no improvment there chucked in a couple of days.

think i've bitten off more than i can chew here but all up for the challenge. wish me luck cause im going to need it haha.

went and got a couple of supplies the day as was needing more pots and soil. also got a PH reader as this was missing from the last grow.
sorted the 9" pots so it's ready for a quick repot next week and the cains are there cause 1 of my last plants fell over on it's own accord and despite trying to tape her she died so learning from previous mistakes.
my second Kandy Kush is just popping through the soil the now and the Boulder Bubblegum isn't far behind. no sign of the other 2 and ptob wont be so if it's 6 then im happy to with that.

im on my way. total of 5 plants as other seeds never came to anything. not such a good success rate on the freebie seeds. leaving them in the small pots a bit longer than expected as recomended by others. i've put supports in all the pots with garden zip ties as there looking stretchy strachan, also raised them about 1/2' a bit closer to the light. not wanting much closer than that as worried about heat stress. trying to put these babies through as little stress as possible.
the 5 seedlings are -
2 x Double Boubleberry
2 x Kandy Kush
1 x Double Diesel Ryder

Should have waited to see what germinated to anounce what i was growing. will know the next time.

Morning, 4 of these are now 12 days old and 1 is 8 days. i've repotted them as a few of them were looking stretchy so buried them in a bit. one of them (double diesel ryder) hasnt been growing right from seed. seems to be the runt of the family. not growing up and kinda twisted. seems to be getting there so will nurse her.
my PH is sitting at 7 so looking to get that down a bit. could do with burying a couple in a bit more so will get round to that.
there doesn't seem to be any shock from the transplant so all good there. just letting them get on with it the now and see them grow.

I'm pulling up a seat for this 1 I have a Kandy Kush and og Kush # 18 going in veg right now and a purple haze flowering...

I really like how you added more dirt to cover up so much "open stem." I'm probably going to do that with my seedlings as well now that I seen you messin' around with it.

Just waiting for these little suckers to sprout out of the dirt after germination, so I'm a few steps behind you sir! Keep us updated on those babies though man.

most of them are 16 days now and 1 is 12 days. the double diesel ryder is deffiently the runt of the family. she's never going to be an oil painting.
the 2 kandy kush are the brighter light green. i've given them a rotate round the night. will update in a couple of days.

morning people, taken some photo's for an update. got a couple of issues, mainly the 2 kandy kush being stretched to hell. also im a bit concerned about 1 of the kandy kush (3rd and last photo's) the leave form is looking a little deformed and the leaves aint looking as healthy as the other 1. havent touched them with any nuits yet and the PH is sitting just under 7 (looks about 6.. if anyone has any input on this it would be much appreciated.
my runt of the family the double diesel ryder seems to be coming along now and looking better than she was. my 2 double boubleberry are looking sweet so no issues with them, and 1 of the kandy kush is looking nice appart from being stretched.
bought myself a timer yesterday, just been switching off and on manually.
4 of them will be 3 weeks old tomorrow and 1 is 16 days. think it'll be another week before i start introducing some feed. think thats about it for now so will update prob next weekend.

Here's the latest. 4 of them are 2 days short from 4 weeks old and the 1 on the speakers is just over 3 weeks old. I gave them there 1st feed a couple of days ago. feed them some liquid seaweed.
Still having trouble with a couple being stretched but just having to go with it now. the Double Boubleberry are growing nice, not having any trouble with them at all so a good easy strain to grow. Got 3 more of these seeds for the next grow so thats good news.

I flicked the switch to 12/12 last night so in about a week or so i'll know what i've got. Im really hopeing that i'll have all 3 strains remaining female as im wanting a good smoke from all these girls. but i know thats prob not going to be the case. I can but dream haha.

The Double Diesel Ryder that was the runt of the family has turned out pretty good. apart from being hell of a stretched the leaves are looking pretty good. but now having problems with 1 of the Kandy Kush (1 on the speaker) leaves are kinda disformed and abit discoloured. Going with it the now as im sure im not the only one to have an ungly duckling under the belt.

Im growing them aunatural for now as havent had the experience of growing during budding so as far as topping goes i'll leave that for the next grow. Reckon i'll be doing abit of tieing so will see how it goes.

Thats me for now so prob next weekend i'll be anouncing the new additions to my family. As allways feel free to comment, i know i've made a couple of mistakes but nothing major.

Good morning, it's been a couple of weeks since last update. they've been in flower for 2 weeks now and im down to 3 plants. Lost both the Kandy Kush as they turned out male. Gutted, no trying out any kush for me then.
the Double Diesel Ryder is keen to get going. showed her sex after 2 days and small buds forming quite quick. she's stretched to feck tho. should have done more to sort this. probabilly my only real mistake in this grow. but my 2 Double Boubleberry are growing nice. 1 a bit bigger than the other and just starting to form small buds. havent had to do anything with these, they've just proded along nicely.

Hello, it's been 2 weeks since the last update. sorry about that, been working long hours the last couple of weeks. Anyway my girls are 4 weeks into bud so starting to get a semi. the buds are coming together nicely. well i think they are, please coment as this is the unknown for me.

As you can kinda see from one of the photo's i've set up a frame for the Double Diesel Ryder as this was the plant that was stretched to hell so thought i had to do something with it as it's turning out na bad. just making sure there's no accidents with plant toppling over or anything like that. kinda paranoid about that as it's happened before.

My 2 Double Boubleberry are growing great. 1 small and tight and the other a bit bigger. havent had to do much with these. said before that there an easy grow.
They've been getting a feed about once a week or so. only going to give a another couple of feeds as planning doing a flush about the 6 week mark and just water after that. The feed that i've got has a mark of 5-5-10, maybe a bit on the light side but think it's better to be lighter than to much.

Please comment as not getting much feedback. seems to be going alright but this is my 1st time in bud so no totally sure it's going as well as im thinking.

a little update, im now 5 weeks from flicking the switch and there fattening up nicely. the double diesel ryder has started showing a couple of amber hairs and got a little worried that it was near complete. it's a freebie seed and started to think it might be an auto or something. apparently this is quite normal so it's all good.
going to give them a feed this morning. quite impressed on fast the buds are growing and with 3 weeks or so left im rather excited on how fat there going to end up. anyway here's the photo's so have a butchers.

​right then i've been busy this weekend with these girls. 1st off i've given them all a flush.

really starting to hate this dirt that i have them in. crap drainage and it took me a couple of nights to do the 3 plants. still ground looking alot cleaner now.

also bought myself a handheld microscope 100x. so last night i had a good look at the buds and the double diesel ryder trichs were all cloudy. this is at the 6 week mark. as it turns out this is an auto.
i've taken a bud off the side and hung in a make shift dry box. and put the plant into 72 hours dark. want a wee comparison between the bud.
