2nd grow, Big Bud Feminized

yea Im talking about removeing the leaves. and I doubt they will turn hermie. They have had little to no stress, other then fighting for water.

oh hmm...I'm not sure. Most people say don't cut any leaves but if it's going to hurt the yield of your other plant than it might be worth it.

Ok. To add to that question. If I clear away some of the fan leaves to give the branch with the cola on it will it produce more or less bud than if I left these colas shaded by the fan leaves.

usually i dont cut any healthy leaves.the leaves absorb light to feed the plant, thus feeding the bud.but if a fan leaf is covering a main cola blocking its light, cut it.nice lookin plants, iused to grow like 5 plants in a 5 gal bucket.id pull like 3/4 oz. off each 1.but it was a skunk strain,i think big bud has way better yields.

yea its not called big bud for nothing. lol. I figure since I let them get almost a foot tall in veg and I still have about 1.5 feet of room they can still grow into I should get a decent yield. Although I am currently not home right now I have no idea how they are doing I will be home later tonight and Ill post some pics of their progress since they have been in flowering for 3 days now and I havent seen them since. "I have an automatic watering system setup for when I am gone it supplies them with 1 quart of water every two days." But Ill updated you all tonight.

Ok here is some updated pics for you, check out the one pic, of the fan with 13 leaves on it.

lookin real good. I hope my shit turns out ok. Do you think you'll have enough space to get through flowering?

enough space in the box, yea I should I can still move them downward another 14 inchs, so they can grow another 14 inchs. I am only running 250 watts to them right now, I am going to add 100 watts every week until their at 450, I figure it will reduce stress and help get them into flowering better. I slightly pulled the pot out for pictures, the tallest of the two, is backed into the corner and is growing up next to the lights, but my other girl doesnt seem to be growing nearly as fast, yet again I debate wether to cut her so my other girl has more room. What would you do?

Yea my grow box is 1.5' x 1.5' and 3 foot tall. they are currently only 2 weeks old and 7 inchs. I plan on letting them get to ten inchs and gradually lower the timer to 12/12 from 18/6 to 16/8 to 14/10 then 12/12 all over a weeks time 3 days under each change.
there really is NO reason to "step down" to 12/12

just, change to 12/12. There is no "stress" to the plant in doing this.

Your plants are in the same pot right? It's survival of the fittest. Your taller plant is probably taking up most of the root space. Honestly I would see it through and then on my next grow do 2 different pots or just 1 plant. i like to keep it simple :). Looks like a forest though haha

This is true, with this being my first time with feminized seeds I have heard so much shit about stressing them and causeing hermies, so I have taken it upon myself to do this and if you look at these baby they are doing wonderful.

How long until I should be able to determine if its male or female. I have heard that alternating nodes area good sign, well no sign like that here.
