2nd grow, first outdoors. advice and tips please

after last years sub par results, i got 4 plants going that i plan on taking outdoors and transplanting into the earth itself.

I have started the plants in some 8" pots and set them on a rooftop which i access daily.

im going this weekend to dig holes and mix the existing soil around a bit. im sure the ground is good by the vegetation that exists. water is also nearby.View attachment 954750View attachment 954756
ill get some flix of my outdoor spot up this weekend.

also bieng in new england if anyone can inform me about what im up against and remedys to them..(insects, rodents, varmin, etc)

couple of good tips i know of getting animals away, one wrap fishing line around a perimeter of the plants also another one is taking your own urine and spalshing it around your plants, NOT ON THEM, just around the area to discourage animals from coming
