2nd grow, low ryder 2 cfl+rubbermaid

SO first off I am a long time reader and first time poster. I grew once before with well, lets just say limited success( i had a shitty setup and got a shitty harvest). Now for the info.. I am growing 1 low ryder #2 in soil under 6 23watt cfl lights. I am using an 18/6 schedule for the entire grow(minus the first 48 hours). I am starting nutes at about 3 weeks. I am growing in my closet in a homemade rubbermaid container which right now looks oh so ghetto and conspicuous. what else? oh yeah it is day 17 and i have just switched to all soft white bulbs after being under 4 daylight and 2 soft white. I originally wasn't going to have a grow journal but then i figured why not? that and i hope that near the end it will help me not to chop it down because i've gotten weak and ran out of patience lol. I should be updating fairly frequently , with pics when i can. Feel free to ask questions and give any advice or criticism.

ok so heres some pics. i keep the lid entirely or mostly off, just cause i can and it helps with heat. my stupid light fell on shorty( oh yeah, thats her name) and burned a few of the top leaves but i'm sure she'll live, the wire hanger is for lst, i'm gonna try and grow her in a circle. i started lst fairly early(lets say day 14/15 ) and am using paper clips. i am being very gentle though and not really bending so much as encouraging which way to grow( hence the low stress part of lst lol). I originally had my light fixtures jury rigged to the underside of the rubbermaid lid but i couldn't get it to work and like i said one of the lights fell on her so I took a new approach and decided to just set them on something so that i could sleep at night knowing my baby was safe. it will also make it much easier to adjust the distance from the leaves to the bulbs, so thats a plus. From what i remember from my first grow shorty is doing much much better, so i am pleased. Only the one pic for now because my camera and this sight aren't being friends but i will geti it sorted and upload some more later.
Peace

shorty is looking good, she has a few pistils coming out of the top and appears to be in good shape. My girl stole my camera for about a week so i won't have any new pics for a few days.

i've been lsting like a mad man over the past week because i've been housebound due to injury. yesterday I transplanted to a larger container which was good she was getting rootbound. for such a small plant it sure does have a large root system. when i moved her i also removed the wire hanger i was going to train around. my new plan is to just continue to train around the container. I have a question about nutes though. it is now week 4 and from what i've read now would be the time to start a bloom regiment, i am concerned about burning her though because she still looks great. i was thinking about 1/2 strength to begin with? anybody got any advice about that? Also i will be feeding her some mollases soon as i am curious on how that will effect the buds. My camera is back in town so i should have some new pics soon. on a side note, anyone who is thinking of growing low ryders i would very strongly recommend lsting your plant, the extra work is totally worth it and is almost instantly gratifying, you can see your work pay off in like a day.

still haven't got my camera back, but i should today or tomorrow... anyways i started nutes yesterday at about half strength, i'm using schultz bloom builder btw. I just bought some mollasses and i plan on starting that on my next water. I think i will use nutes and mollasses every water until day 50 then i will start flushing. I plan on harvesting in between day 60-70. my plant looks kind of nuts, since i have been training her so close to the soil she looks like a tiny shrub , almost like a strawberry plant. if she was upright i'm guessing her height would be max 7 inches, but whenever i expose the main stem to more light new growth just appears almost like magic. I also rigged up a reflector that just sits on top of my light setup. i am having airflow issues so i have just been keeping the lid off of the rubbermaid all the time. For the life of me i can't seem to find a tiny fan where i live. Then again, its winter in canada so no one is looking to cool down with a light breeze so i guess i'm just kind of stuck with what i got for now. I can't believe how much roots these tiny plants have. I transplanted her into a 4 litre (1 gallon? sorry don't know imperial) about 5 days ago and today i looked at the bottom and there are roots coming out of the bottom already. Next grow i think i will try to use a different container, maybe somethin really shallow but long and narrow so that the roots are forced sideways instead of straight down. but i will deal with that when the time comes..I don't think there is anyone actually following my journal but that doesn't matter its fun for me with or without an audience.

so i decided to switch up my box a little bit, i took the computer fan i had hooked up as an exhaust and instead just pointed it directly at the plant as it wasn't doing much anyways( i have no idea how those things are supposed to cool computers they blow less than an asthmatic) so now there is the slightest breeze going across the leaves. I also just tidied up all of the cords and power bars, it looks a bit more pro now(not much though, I'm more of a "that'll do" type guy anyways lol)
