High cunts, how goes? Been lurking for a while. Too cur/envious now not to stick my head above the meercat line-of-sight ranges.
Moved into a new room and a new mini-setup is in the hypothetical stages. The acquired mylar tent is 3' wide 1.6' deep and 5.5' tall.
I am erring towards a 400w HPS on a dimmable digital ballast for flowering opposed to a 250w. As long as temps stay in check, 400w = more lumes = more buds.

Vegging will be conducted on a 250w CFL system with reflector, and will include topping/supercropping/FIMming to encourage bushiness considering height limitations.
The light will be be air-cooled + the tent air extracted by a 4' mixed flow fan with controller, upto 210CFM extraction power. Trying somehow to incorporate a silencer.

4 plants are intended. The target is 8oz per flowering cycle, so 2oz/plant. This first time round straight coco will be used, and treated like soil (watering in 2 day intervals and feeding every 2nd interval with hydroponic nutrients) in 8"x4" pots- so LST, topping, FIMming, and a straight 1 cola lollipop-ping can all be measured with the same strain to find the most effective method.
Anyone recommend a strain for these tent dimensions? L.O.V.E Sativas! But as they're so leggy (gorgeous like the missus but a pain in the) I'd be happy to go with a high-yielding 50/50- anyone got any recommendations?
I remember having a cone of AK47 back many years ago, and that's amongst the best dope I've ever smoked. Pretty keen to hit that strain up!
After this grow I'll be more comfortable with training and pruning and I'll probably switch to 50/50 coco/hydroton for a spag tube drip system with pots, RDWC, or if i can find a small enough tray, a straight rockwool/hydroton SOG E+F setup from a momma.
Anyway, the eventual target is 1/2lb per flowering period, with a view to a "perpetual" 1/4lb a 'month' (depending on strain).
If I can push 2/3 lb per 400w bulb harvest......
