go for it nut id repot them in to bigger pots first, at least ten inch pots if not 12". Good luck dude they will at least double in hight wen u switch the lights scedual hope ur ready lol.

I was wondering if you are expecting any slow down with topping them just before flowering or do you prefer this method and expect hairs in 2 weeks time?
