2x1000w or 1x1000w on a light mover.

i have a 10x10 room with 2x1000w bulbs. things are going great. i am a little worried about the hydro police. would 1x1000w bulb on a light mover do the same?

One 1000 on a light mover works just fine for my friends not a prob. that is for an 8ft x 4ft table.

If you got 2 1000s why not put them both on a light mover. But i dont see how 1 1000 could compare to 2 1000s no mater how you use them. It'll be interesting to find out, hope some can shed some light.

no room and no need to put both my lights on the mover. the room is 10x10 and with the reflectors i only have 2 feet at one end of the room to move around. 2 lights are working greaaaat being stationary. i'm just trying to control electricity. its the only reason i'm asking the question.

yeah trying to save on electricity is my concern. does anyone know how much of a difference it would make going from 2x1000 hps that are stationary to just one 1000 watt hps on a light mover. does anyone know how much this would affect yield? does anyone have any results they could point us toward with a 1000 watt on a light mover? thanks again

2 is better than one. The mover would be good for veg and first 3 weeks of 12/12. then put the two 1000s from week 4-8?

I agree. There's no way that one 1000 watt light will outproduce two, even with a light rail. There's just no way to make up for that many lumens lost. The light rail will help alot though, and will add more coverage than a stationary light. I'm not sure how much, as I've never actually used one before, but I'm looking into buying one, and I'd guess it to be an almost 50% increase in coverage(I'll be shooting for 25-30%). If you must eliminate one, make your grow area a little smaller(30-50%), and accept that you're going to yield less. Sorry, but there's no way around it. :)

Set up correctly, you would only lose around 25%. (give or take 10%)

^^Read the question. He's asking how much he will lose when if he switches to using only one 1000 watt HPS, because he want to cut back his electric bill. Of course two would be better.

If ur worried about yield sell ur 1000 w and invest in co2 if u already dont have it. more money in the begining but costs almost nothing in electricity. Thats atleast what I did and actually get more yield with the co2 then the extra light. Atleast w my setup

No dude, 1 on a light mover WILL NOT beat 2 1000s!! how u could even contemplate losing one of ur 1ks.. if u do be prepared to lose half of ur dankness.. and add the co2 aswell like dude says.
