For a space that small I'd go with two fans. I'd go with like a 400+ CFM exhaust, and a 200-300 cfm intake. That will ensure a touch of negative airpressure, which in turn forces the air to leave the room by going through the air scrubber. If you have a HID light you should just exhaust through the hood at the top of the room, and intake on the other side at the bottom. Also get a 10 dollar oscillator to mix it all up a little.

/\ thats a butttttload of airflow... !!

I had a 2x2x5.3 and I was venting it with a single 178cfm ValULine with 4 inch ducting... And the inline fan was like 8 feet of ducting outside of the tent, and still pulled enough air to cool a 250w in the summer to 78F.

I would go with something decent, like a 200 cfm max fan.. I wouldn't care to exceed like 240cfm though... I'm using a 330CFM 6 inch fan in a 2'7x2'7'5'11 tent and have it at like 70% speed and its doing a fine job on a 400w HPS.

You're probably right man, but I'm always working on bigger scale. Still though I think of growing weed as three basic number values. Light, Nutrient, and Air. As you increase one you can increase the other three. High airflow (but not violently, and roughly fucking with the plants) literally pumps your girls up. I use feed formulas that can be obscenely high. If friends of mine tried to use my feed in their set-ups their bitches would probably just fall over and die. You get to that "maxing out" level by getting your lumens at 5000+ per sq. foot, unlimited air exchange, and temps of precisely 73-76.5 degrees stable for the light period, and 64-67 degrees night cycle. (74.3, and 65 seems money). Any deviation from this will cause salt build ups, and slight lock outs of individual nutrients, and fertilizer components.

I always think about things in these optimal terms, and they aren't hard to attain.

i have a 400w HID in a 3x3x7 ft tent..i have 2 duct booster fans rated at 160 CFM each..intake and exaust..non air-cooled hood. works fine and was only $50 for both fans..my temps neverrr go over 80F

well seeing as i checked them today i guess they surpass 80F lol

I'm pretty sure the CFM rating's on duct booster fans mean that they will maintain that CFM (ie-160 for yours) when used properly. I do not believe the boosters alone are rated at 160. It's a system rating. Anyway that sounds OK I guess.

says 240 boosted air or 160 standing but its prob more like 120 CFM honestly but it works i means its hot out today like almost 90F and my plants on the second floor with no A/C and peaked at 87F but mostly around 85F but i also have a fan onver the canopy..i wudnt suggest tht i wud def suggest better venting just saying it works as a bare minimum..

Oh I gotcha man. Yeah I have noob buddies ask me about those duct boosters all the time. So yours are from a 240 system, and are individually 160 cfm. I get it now.

i got a 135w led and 150w hps had to take out the hps cuz temps were about 85. not they below 80 and steady. i just need and exhuast with passive till it flowers then get the filer, and a intake just dont know how i am oging to set this all up since it is so small. i might just buy a 3x2x5 and put it next to it. use the hps to veg.(not the best but it will do its been working for 2 weeks now) and then use the led in the 3x2 and just either geta costum setup led or get a black star 180 and anothe r135 or 100. then i can throw my reg plants in smaller one and use bigger one for autos since they will be done first. i can also take a few clones also. and keep buddha tahoe alive

I use a S&P td100x fan (150cfm)(very very quiet fan) in a 2x2 tent with a 400hps in a homemade cooltube, 2x4" passive intakes... goes like this- carbonfilter> cooltube > fan (sitting on top of tent for more room) without my AC it stays at 78-80F in a 70F ambient temp room...
