2x3 led cab grow

2x3x3.5 cab that I built
I'm still kindve a noob grower but have completed a few harvest with different setups. Here is a rundown.

Mars Hydro 300 LED
Organic mix I made:
Peat moss
Compost
Manure
EWC
Perlite
Oyster shell
Lime
Blood meal
Bone meal
Fish fert
Alfalfa meal
Kelp meal
Dash of Jobes organic fert

I'm just using bagseed this run. Seeds sprouted May 30th. I'm using 2gal pots.

Homemade ventilation system a couple fans hanging. Temps stay between 72 and 82. Humidity between 45 and 65. Not sure if I should be puttin this in the journal section but this came to mind first being a "cab" grow.
This is my first time using LED or organics.
Thinkin I might get another light come flowering stage.

Hope to make some new grow buddies on this site. Kinda sucks not really being to talk to anyone about my "hobby" around here. Happy growin!

sweet grow, what strain you running?

I'm just using some bagseed from some ny diesel. I've looked into buyin seeds but I'm just so damn nervous to have them mailed.

Keep us posted! I would save your money on the second Mars light and pick up a simple COB kit to supplement. Just my two cents.

$80 for mars light.. I can use it throughout the entire grow and it doesn't produce any heat at all. I don't know a lot about COB but it seemed like everything was $200+. Also my box is only 2.5ft tall so I only have right at 18" from pot to light. So I feel like if I use COB I'll run into heat and sunburn issues. I'll do more research on them and will consider it. I'm also pretty handy and would love to build my own light.

Heat is heat. The only reason that Mars light doesn't put off much is because it's only pulling about 150w at the wall. About 60% of that turns right into heat in the light, the rest turns into heat when light hits solid objects. If you're worried about too much light you could hack the Mars you have now with a couple COBs and have a more efficient light source using the same drivers and case.

What about this Morsen COB 600w full spectrum. It's for two chips in a fixture.

I wouldn't. That's basically a Mars light with all the diodes packed into a couple COB shaped PCBs. You see how peaky and incomplete that SPD graph is? Those, and the Mars lights will work, but you can do better for less $$$.
