2x400hps vs 1x1000hps

What would be better and why?

My homie have a 2' x 6' closet with 6'9" celling.Also have few 400w hps lamps and a few 1000w hps lamps with cooltubes as well and we are wondering what would yeild better in this area if the temps are kept within adequate range. If we choose the 1000w the plan is to hang it to a rail and manually move the light every day on each side of the closet to maximize the coverage area. If we opt for the 2x400's the plan is to run lights little closer to the plants..

I would go with the 2-400's of the single 1k and moving it by hand. Not to mention a 1k is over kill for a roughly 2x3 area until you move it.

agree^^^ 2 400s would be easier to control..JMO..GL

4x8x6 --- go with 2-600w or 2-1k's. you would need atleast 3 -400's to cover that and it wouldnt do it very well being at 4 feet wide. This is if your wanting to cover every square inch.

I like the idea of 3-400w or 2-600w over the 1000w because there is more flexibility with light footprint.
