3-4 x 315 CMH, OR 1 x Gavita 1000w, or 2 x Gavita 600w, for Veg??? 7 x 7 Area

the gavitas are known for radiant heat. May not be an issue since its getting cooler. As an initial investment the 315 isnt bad, I have only good things to say about it.

I have no illusion a 315w light will penetrate as well as a 1000, but they should penetrate plenty enough for a 24 - 30 inch tall veg plant, and with a better light spectrum.
How about thoughts on the LEP ?????

You’ll be stoked with 4- 315’s in that space for veg.

IMHO. Penetration is Very Important for developing strong side branching from the start, and no stretching ect. I only grow plants that have strong, and complex branching, for max production.
I want my plants metabolizing like a MoFo before I put them in flowering.
I also veg in larger containers, like 5g at least, and then transplant into 20G for flowering, but this go around Im using a bit smaller containers, but want as much good light, with penetration as possible, as I have a fairly good size area..
My buddy has LED and really only uses it for supplemental lighting, after experimenting. At this time, Im not interested in LED.

Some wedding cake vegging in 7x7 pots under 315's.
You wouldn't like the cake because it's a stretchy bitch. But very heavy!
I grow shit loads of flavors though. The 315's are killer veg lights bro.
I switched all my veg 600 mh lights a while back. So happy i did.
Each one of these plants get up-potted into 7 gal pots and vegged for one more week, in a couple more days. Under DE's in bloom after that. I usually rock 10 in a 4x8 tray.

Not to be rude, but that is an advertisement not to use them.. Those things need a lot more light, they are far too tall and spindly with too much space between nodes.

light movers are good and bad...if you have either limited room, or a large shallow area, they can help keep both heat and power consumption down, and prevent your lights from burning plants that grow too close, at least till you see it and move it. the down side is it's another thing to buy, another thing that can break, and once you're set up for them, you kind of need them, or else reorganize your whole area
