3 cfls with 825 lumens each enough for flowering?

i originally bought 2 "grow" lights from walmart becuase they were cheap and i thought i could use them. but after reading threads the majority of ppl said they were good for veg and not for flowering... so i bought 3 CFLS with 825 each .... and i was wondering if those would do the trick.... money is short or i would be investing in more... thanks t0 all

all depends on your grow space bro, you definitely could grow with that amount of light, but dont expect super great results.

I completely agree with this, they are available at home depot for $9.30/ea the total for four 42 2700k's was $38.10. I am LOVING the results of adding just three! I can't wait to add the other one shortly. My plants branched out so much since I've added them.

I bought a 125 watt CFL (8500 lumens) and a HydroFarm Hood off of Amazon.com for my closet grow, but I only use it for veg. It's great for up to three months, then I put the plants outside to finish. I'm sure I can flower one plant, but for two or three plants I'd be more comfortable if I had at least 200 watts. And with that wattage I'd be looking at autoflowers or single cola strains.

The bulb manufacture claims their 125 watt CFL is enough for a 4x4 growing area, but for cannabis I would only trust it for a 3x3 area at most. Then again, not everyone is super picky, and lots of growers have been happy with their little micro-grows.

you guys in america right?

what about these 150w hps´s that i hear people can get for 50$ over there?

rather get that than the 42w cfls..

but on the original question.

yes, you "can" flower with those bulbs.. you will maybe get a gram or 2. maybe less. maybe abit more..

cant promise if that gram will be potent (i have grown under 13w cfls , my first grow. got 2grams, didnt do a thing when i smoked it (and it was a reliable very potent strain, grew it out later under 4 23w cfls and then it was a very good smoke (but still not much more of it LOL)

mjeh. id use those cfls to veg it longer and use the time to save up for a bigger lamp.

id prefer a 150w hps to cfls. about the same easy to cool anyways and much bigger buds.

its hard because you need to have a hydo supply store near by and they are extreamly overrated in price by 100% our hardware store only have some pieces to the puzzles bulbs minus fixures or ballasts so its a game of finding everything you need or paying over for it
they track most transaction in reference to equiptment here (no lie) but i do believe theres a cap in what they watch via 1000 dollar transactions nothing under or what not
not 100 % on what there standards are
