Looks similar to my setup ! lol . Then I just started using the sockets with the 2 outlets on the side, got some of the plug-in sockets and have my bulbs horizontal instead. can position them at much better angles I find with the y-splitters also..
A tip for this setup.. get 4 more y-splitters to use on both the end sockets ( 3 y-splitters a socket to get 4 blubs then just the normal one splitter in the middle) .. can get 10 bulbs with this setup
Now you got down how to get some seeds from bag . It's time to invest in a pack of seeds. and choose your strain

Has heat been a problem? Are you under the stairs or in the attic? or...

Are your reflectors the ones for car windows? kinda look like that. If so those and emergancy blankets reflect a lot of the heat energy of the light but less of the light usable by the plants than some of the other choices. I would still say it's better than nothing but if heat was an issue i might do a test where I took them out for a day or two to see if there was a difference. Just a thought...

If mylar, such as heat blankets, don't reflect a lot of light, what would you recommend? i'm trying to stay away from paint, but if that's the best bet, i'd do it.
