3 leafed full grown plant?

I ended up getting at least 4oz's of 1 plant that was planted way to late...so yea, definitely not bad. It was a small plant too so i was surprised. Short maybe 3ft and close to that around as well.
Are the 3 leafers sought after? I thought it might have been bad genetics or cloned to many times but after seeing and smoking i realized there isn't a damn thing wrong with that strain. Would love to cross it with Super Lemon Haze or another great strain.
Thanks for your reply
Does it smell? The plant I've been growing for the last 6 years has no smell. I call it Tres for the 3 bladed leaves. They were gifted from someone who they were gifted to.

The 2 females and one male all had the three bladed leaves. A very short plant, 3' or so, no growing odor, and 2 hits and quit potency. Yours are the first I've seen even close in these 6 years I've been growing it.

I have my own theory, but it was certainly an IBL that was kept private. Between the 3 plants, there was very little/no variation and it seems to be a pure Indica.

I have been backcrossing it for 3 years now, 'just in case' and just made the F5 backcross. like an idiot I never crossed the male back on the fems and it's been clone only since 2009.

I keep at least 2 mothers going, also 'just in case'. It is a very special plant.

Holy Shit YES IT SMELLS! you could smell it from around 200ft away.
I really don't think it had anything to do with the the sunlight it was getting because it was in our garden and it was getting 100% light during the days with nothing to block sun from it. Also the soil we use is very very good (chocked full of good nutes damn near like Subcools SS) I wish I would have had a camera and had taken some pics of it because it was beautiful and all bud with very very few leaves to trim from the buds and the smoke us unbelievable. Im just glad I took clones of it.
I really don't know why there are not more strains similar to it that you can buy.

Not the same. Tres has pretty much zero odor, which is the ONLY reason it's been allowed to stay indoors for 6 years. The last plant I grew stank like you described and my wife put her foot down. "Happy wife, happy life" and after 39 years, I'm not going to piss her off. Plus, she has her own CCW.

Another bonus is, I spend zero on odor control.

Buy my rule of thumb (and I stick to it) is that any 3 leaf set is telling me it has an environmental stress of some type.

I do not flower until I get 5 leaf sets (don't see this problem as I'll get a handle on it during veg)......I do not trade clones that are still throwing 3 leaf's and you should not BUY clones that are only throwing 3 leaf sets......

It being stressed and throwing 3 leaf sets had nothing to do with it's strength in the end.......You just started with a better pheno that was in "less then perfect" shape.

I don't see how it's environmental stress. Mine were fresh out of their shell and within 6" of a t5 and some cfls. No nutes no heat no stress.
And it didn't happen to one or two out of ten but every single one of them.
They are seeming to grow out of it now and not much environmentally has changed

Purple MoRon grows with only 3 leaves and its some killer smoke! Never had any environmental stress and it has not been cloned a 1000 times either. It's just the way this strain grows... Doesn't affect growth or potency.

Interesting, who's beans? What strain? How long a veg.?

Not that it can't happen but, I have never seen it last....

They are my own beans.
A bodhi strain that was open pollinated by a male bred by a friend.
Every seedling that has opened has had at least the first three sets be 3 or even single blade fans.
After 20 or so days and with the new growth since topping everything else has been 5 fans.
That's why I think it's genetic as opposed to environmental.

Mine didn't have ANY stress what so ever even though it was outdoors, It was also completely organic, i cared for it 3 times a day to make sure every little thing was right. All I can say is that it is in the top 2-5 of any strain i have grown, and I have grown many strains in many different ways. Either way, I plan on having it around for a while to come because its super easy to grow, has a great yield, unbelievably great smoke, and easy as all hell to trim.
