3 leaves at the top of plant?

We are in the ending stages of the 1st part of the growing process for our Master Kush and Bubba Kush. One thing that we are seeing happen is the plants are growing "3 leaves" at the top of the plant.

My wife was told that this is bad and could be from overfertilization. Could anyone shed some light on this for me.

Do you have any pics? How old is the plants? If your in part 1 of growing process and your feeding it ferts? Is it in veg or flowering? Sorry just explain a bit more.

If you flowered to sex the plant then put it back to vegging it will start the lnew leaves over at 3 and the middle leaf will be very long

I am sorry for not providing more info...still learning.

We have not gone to flowering stage on our plants.....we are still in vedg stage.

We were going to start running the lighting on flowering stage in a week.

I am not sure of the weeks....but we are at the week point where you would start the flowering stage.

Can anyone provide any info on this?
