3 month old plant, 2 month 12/12, slow bud forming

You have to make sure the plants are dried out real nice before watering again. I didn't know over-fertilization could keep a plant like that for so long without burning but hey I'm a noob.

You should never ever ever throw away viable weed..and don't do anything hasty now...they just obviously need longer due to what looks like some environmental stress, so just water and see how it goes...it you see the buds getting bigger and what not then keep going...but if after giving water a few times you still see not a whole lot going on, then chop and hash them, or whatever you want to do with it really.
And are you totally sure of your dates?
Yes, I am, the pics are time stamped. They broke soil on 2/03. I put them under 12/12 on 3/06. and those pics in the OP are from 4/01 and 4/23.

Thanks for everyone's help. not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I needed to hear it.

I am gonna hope giving them just plain water may help (a miracle)? I wanna veg my NLs for a little longer anyways. I've heard good and bad things about Nirvana, but, they gotta be better some random bagseed, right guys? lol

Looks good. Hope things work out looking half as good thing go around, for myself.

Do you like Nirvana, in general? I hear a lot of people using them, but some people having nothing good to say. Maybe it's that their fem seeds hermie? Can't exactly remember what it was atm.

Well if you see any leaf tips that have yellow spots then it is burning, but foxfarms stuff still tries to be mostly organic yes? Organics cause overfert just with less burning...and that is what that claw is...can also be caused by overwatering.

I really don't think I've been over watering. I could be wrong, but I've been going with the "lift container" method, and sometimes it seems like I wait too long to water (they'll be really thirsty looking).

IMG00576-20120420-1922.jpg<---- pic I took on 4/20. I know it's shit quality, but, my camera is at a friend's house (gonna go pic it up tonight). They, look ok though, right?

EDIT: Also, that long stretchy one on the bottom of the pic is one I had by a window, to see what would happen. The top three are under the 600w

Give them a chance. Try flushing and then plain water then slow nutes. They might still turn out.
Alright, sounds like a plan.

I'm cutting more clones from my NL "mother" right now. I've only had regular seeds so far, no fems, and every plant has turned out to be female so far. I really thought the weed gods were on my side, lol. Would had been better off if my bag seed turned out to be male in hindsight (would've moved on 2 months ago).

I would be ok with that.

In fact, now that I think about it, they did JUST stop stretching like, idk, this past week. Could that be significant in anyway?

how far away is your light from the tops of your plants?

is that your set up? or is that just for the pic... that they are in the open like that.

if they are sativa or hybrid they can take much longer to finish, plus they also could have started flowering late too...either way i go by the trichomes to know when they are at their peak ;)

Even if it was Sativa or Hybrid wouldn't they have some sort of bud formation after 2 months? I have never grown straight Sativa but I have grown many Hybrid.

yes they should have more bud formation than that after 2 months, definitely...but if light is too far away, and they started late, than i can see it being a bit behind...and im just trying to stay positive...what can i say i like to try! even when most would not...thats how i Learn, as most would probably give up ;)

i think they just need more light :)

I do want him to try.. I just don't want him wasting time. Time+electricity+nutes= $$$. Maybe he should try and keep them going a bit longer and if no change move on.. I would be getting my back up plan going asap

im with they could be a tropical sativa that could just flower for months before it finishes like some of those equatorial land races if you have the patience it could turn out excellent or your lights could be to far away but you would have to have them like four feet away they dont look overly stretched since they just stopped stretching i would wait a little bit and see if they start putting on some buds. I have seen some of the sativas on the greenhouse seed strainhunters that are all tall and lanky like that but the thc is high i think it was the african expedition. I just started some nirvana northern lights for my outdoor grow so im looking forward to watching yours flower.

That's not my set up (just my plants), I was supposed to get my camera from my friend's house to take a pic, but alas, I got wasted and was running late to a work meeting so I had to leave it behind, hopefully I'll get it soon to take some pics of my set up. That picture of plants is outside the closet, I had them out to water them and snapped a pic (it was 4/20). I just posted it to show that they're, idk, I think doing ok, besides the bud devolopment (and the crappy picture quality).

I have LSTd/SCd my plants and have a nice even canopy, the plants are approx 18"-24" from the top of the canopy. Maybe I just need to replace the bulb (I got it from a friend and idk how much he used it, he says barely at all, but, idk?).

I really appreciate your help, and I get what you're saying. The only thing is, I know for most growers this may not seem like much, but the expereince (to me) is worth it alone, or at least, close to worth it. It's not a total lose anyways. And, yes, I have my backup plan going for sure! I'm even thinking of getting another hps and a grow tent, stick these three in the back, see what happens, and essentially just, idk keep them around like the step children I don't really care about but don't have the heart to do away with (they're my first plants, would be ashame to pull them, I rather them die on their or bud up).

I'm thinking of starting a grow journal for my NLs (once I get my camera). I'll shoot you a PM when I get it up so you can watch them coming along.

If it is "tropical" sativa, then maybe it just doesn't do well inside? No matter what I do? Or does all weed do well inside if you give it the right conditions?

edit: you guys are really helpful, I should had made this account months ago. Would of saved some time I think!

Are you SURE you don't have light leaks? The reason I ask is you say your plants JUST stopped stretching, most plants FINISH in 8 weeks so if yours just stopped stretching you either have a LONG flowering sativa or a light leak. I would get some clones going asap and ditch that ditch weed if it were me, to each there own though. You could probably get a full cycle of some real weed before that finishes

No visible light leaks. I don't think, I'll check again tonight to make sure.

or...you could keep trying with these...either keep flowering them, or >>> or...you could trim them down as small as possible to still have fan leaves, and leave some bud sites and just put them back in veg and try again...but for now I guess just close up that room when the lights are off and see if you see any light...
Revegging them would be slow, and probably a waste of time, but you never really know...sometimes the plant is fine, but we mess it up along the way..I have one strain that I still haven't given up on after 3 years...lol. I can't help but feel it looking poorly is my fault and not hers..lol. And it is probably both...but I am not done with her yet..I am just getting my stride with her..some strains make you feel like an expert your first time...and other strains make you feel like you have never grown anything in your life properly and are a failure...I like to grow the 2 types together...gives me a nice balance of wisdom and confidence, but also keeps me in check and keeps my confidence from getting away from me...nothing to bring you back down to earth like a hard to grow strain..lol. So do an easy and do a hard at the same time...you can feel good about yourself without getting a big head about the whole thing...lol. I started with the tough one, and after 2 years of sick and ailing plants cycle after cycle, just when I was ready to call it quits --- which really i wasn't doing too bad if 1 fem seed lasted me 2 years---I decided to try to find a strain that is described as easy to grow, as opposed to killer smoke...not that the 2 can't coincide...but the hard strain I picked because the description was all about how great the smoke was and what not...anyway I looked and picked a strain that mainly talked about how easy to grow it was...and I ordered some along those lines...and now I have easy plants and hard plants all living in harmony...because it turns out the hard strain just wanted to be left alone..left to languish dry and rootbound in the back of the tent...it loves it...and turns out it doesn't like nitrogen at all...ever...if you give it any at all then the leaves claw and the new growth turns neon green...but it does grow a little faster...but I would rather it grow slow with nice looking straight leaves...it has very pretty leaves if you can leave them straight...jesus christ I am just rambling on and on..sorry...
