3 Plants gifted to me. Topping?

One of the plants is already topped. ( I'm currently on my first grow with 3 plants much younger than these. These were a "surprise" and unexpected. I have zero 'experience' growing past the seedling stage. These are outdoor, sitting inside because it's ridiculously windy out back at the moment.) Should I top the other two even though they are at 7~ nodes?

(I have no idea what "Cali Granny" aka CG 'is'.)
Thanks for any comments.

I forgot to say. The friend mentioned they are ready for transplant. I am planning to do that this Wednesday. Having said that, when then should I top? Don't want to add any addition stress either way. Top now -> transplant wed. or Transplant wed -> wait 1-2 days -> top?

You can top now, it will be fine. Just be careful when you transplant and try not to disturb the root mass and the plant shouldn't stress much at all.

I'd top now. The sooner the better IMO. There's no reason to wait. They will be nicely healed by the time you transplant in a couple days. Topping isn't really as stressful to a plant as you might think. I always top my outdoor plants at least a couple of times early on so they bush out nice and evenly. Give them lots of root space and they should treat you well. What size pots are you planning to use? Or are you going in ground? This is one of my plants that has been topped twice now. I just put her in the ground this weekend. image.jpg

I think I did it correctly. top#1.jpgtop#2.jpg

I'm using smart pots, planning on transplanting to 3 gallon containers, soil.
