I just found out that the soil I used has way too many newts already in it. Should I try to flush them ? I am afraid they will become weak again from over watering and they are just coming back now.

No. . . i am going through something similiar and the best thing for you to do is take a puff. . . .hold it. . . .then exhale. now just relax. if you are stressed you plant will be too. leave her alone. make sure your temp is lower than 79 and don't touch her. the soil is already in her system. if you let her work her magic then she might pull through on her own. if not then just start over with all this new information.
