what I do is dip mine completely and then let it dry out almost all the way, then repeat. i just did some 9-10 days ago and yest I went in there and they were bone dry so dipped them and today half of them are showing. i wouldn't recommend letting them get bone dry but it goes to show you don't need much water in the cube.
