3 weeks into veg

What are y’all usually using for pest? Neem oil ?
I use neem, mine doesn't have an emulsifier tho so I either use peppermint doctor brawners, or I use safer insecticide soap. depends on how many (if any bugs I see). I spray once every 2 weeks min in veg, usually start slower and kinda ramp my way up so the last 2 weeks i spray them close to 4 times before flower.

Side note and i hope others will comment too, i really like my blupurple leds for veg, i do have a white led which helps my eyes for sure. I've just noted shorter internode under those LEDs, i had thought i had mislabeled a plant because of how different and tight the nodes were.

Yeah I’ve been using neem as well just was curious what everyone else was using. And I’m actually surprised my nodes are pretty close together I was worried at first being this is the first grow but with a little research that’s apparently a good thing lol

yesh just don't use the purples for flower I suggest looking for a 1000w hid for free (or damn near close to it) I looked on offer up and can generally find 4-5 hoods plus ballast sets (25 EACH). don't get me wrong it'll hit your power bill but when you just pay for the bulb and smoke weed like its a savings. I'm disappointed if i get less than a p a k most people want 2. also the "hit on your power bill" is like 40 or less a month

I might look into that if I can get a good deal. My light has red in it as well for flowering I just don’t have it turned on at the moment

Yeah I’m not having any pest problem at the moment. just more of a preventative maintenance lol
That's why i hang a sticky trap... any flying bugs that will lay eggs are attracted to the yellow color and get stuck and dead before they hurt anything:)

I don't love neem. Smells like crap, doesn't always feel like it does much and I don't like it on plants that are hard to wash that you might want to eat or ingest. I've used Bronner's soap in water (spray) effectively for regular aphids and similar (particularly the stuff with tea tree) . In the tent I use the yellow traps and Mosquito Bits soaked in the water I've watered with. Outside I often use spinosad based spray but have also used beneficial nematodes and milky spore, Though I don't think any of that is probably good for indoor tent stuff.

I love bronners, it's the only soap i use anymore :) That and a foaming dispenser and life is good...

When I fill my 2g sprayer for soapy soak-down, I steal it from the bottle in our bathroom. ;) If you have dry itchy skin or scalp the soap with tea tree a few times a week is a good thing. Tea Tree oil is also a gardening beneficial.

Worked way better for me this year on all my roses to control stem and leaf pests than neem ever did. So far I've only done indoor cannabis, so it hasn't been needed there, but I'd be much less concerned about it in flowering than I would be with neem.

For fungus gnat control the Mosquito Bits seem to do a good job. I only used them once (I was late in the game getting them and using them for this grow) but it definitely knocked down the population. If I'd done it earlier and done a few applications I'm sure the population would have been killed off altogether. They didn't change the pH of the water I was soaking them in, and were easy to deal with (though I do wear mask and/or protection while handling). I soaked for tbs in a gallon of water for about 45 minutes stirred it up pretty good to make sure it was well distributed (gets the water a bit cloudy), strained them out and distributed that water evenly to all the plants' soil as the last bit of watering, so that it didn't get flushed out the bottom of the cloth pots.
