30 days into flower...

So I have to get some other people's opinion here. This is my first grow, and I'm curious as to if my buds will eventually be able to grow into each other to make those big buds everyone wants.

A little history of my grow is 2 clones of a Purple Kandy and we SCROG'd it and did LST with FIMing. And my brother and I have been defoleating weekly during flower and I'm not sure if by doing so stopped it from producing bigger buds or no. There in DWC under 7 QG LED bars, 48Watts a bar, sold online at quickgrow.com and added a 2000Watt Philzon Cree COB for flowering.

Yes, yes the gaps will close. They look fine. Congrats. No need to defoliate if you don’t have to. Only when extremely crowded, for better air movement, and even by then you should take only what’s necessary. Thats my 2 cents.

Ok cool, I was a bit concerned about their size as of the date. How many more weeks would you guess if I'm on the end of week 4 at the point there at now?

They have a long way to go. I mean you may not get solid colas all around. Thats just strain related and it also has something to do with a growers competence. Just relax and enjoy. They will be done when they are done and you will get what you get. Don’t do much defoliation next time and see if you get better yields.

You are 1/2 way through your flower cycle. Purple Candy is an indica dominant hybrid so she will finish around 55 - 60 days from 12/12. Start scoping the trichomes in about 3 weeks.

From WIKILEAF - Purple Candy distinguishes itself with large, multicolored flowers. These buds tend to be large, holding together in thick and tapered formations, almost like miniature pinecones. The squat and compact flowers have an indica-type structure, as their relatively small leaves overlap and coil tightly inward toward their central stems.

They look fine. My plant that finishes in about 65 days looks like your buds now. I’m on a second grow at day 30.

I usually let mine go 9-10 weeks. I feel I cut mine a week early last time.

Do you stop after day 21? Or do you just only defoleat the ones that need it after that.

This my first grow bro I will defoliate again in two weeks then after that just let it grow that’s what I’m gonna do anyway

Yea I think I'll do the same, I'm just about at the flowering stage with 4 more clones of the same genetics. But there going through different stages of training right now. I just wired in a mini exhaust fan and a circulation fan into a thermostat for my small 2x2x4fooy veg tent.

I'll put up some pictures in the morning the one needs to be fed when she wakes up its actually very effective for a 2 light rotation / perpetual grow.
